No doubt. But I was just making the counter argument to Nev's question of why we aren't miles ahead of rangers as due to the fact that the other spl teams are, generally, quite weak and even a depleted rangers side is more than capable of beating them all. Taking an extreme example, if you put Barcelona and Celtic into the scottish third division, they'd both beat all the other teams very convincingly. That wouldn't mean that Barcelona were underperforming because they should be miles ahead of celtic. If the rest of the opposition is markedly weaker, two better teams will have similar results against them, regardless of whether one of those teams is better than the other.
I've said for weeks that I wouldn't relax until the Swiney game was by. If United get a result on Saturday, though (even a draw), we can get beat and still be top with a game in hand Then the only big away league game we've got after that all season is at Ibrox in March. Rangers still need to go to Pitoddrie, Parkhead and Tynecastle with Kerkar up front
inverness away for you. probably match abandoned due to frost. a nice wee mid week trip up to inverness before the old firm game is on the cards
Its dire times over by but i wouldnt get too carried away . Rangers still have a tight defence and a strong midfield with creativity and Healy as ****e as his general play is knows where the goal is . They certainly have enough to beat all other SPL teams , so in my opinion it will come down to consistency . I do think celtic have the better squad but i also thought that last year - i certainly wont be counting any chickens
**** sake Nev... No, we haven't but it's Celtic's to lose (as I believe Celtic are in a position of power)! Is this going to be your standard reply ?
Celtic fans gloating was to be expected, I'm sure Rangers fans would do the same if it was the other way around. If Celtic don't win this league then I'll be ****ing shocked, would be pretty embarrassing for players and fans if they didn't to be honest. Saying that though, I would pish and pish and pish myself a little bit more from laughing if Celtic didn't win this league. I can't speak for all Rangers fans but this season I've already had my disappointment, losing a 15 point lead so I now have no expectations for this season, especially after what happened (or what didn't happen) in the transfer window. Celtic winning the league wouldn't be a disappointment cos I've already resigned myself to it happening so if somehow Rangers did manage to win it then it would be a bonus
How were you underdogs last season when you lined up with a strikeforce that cost nearly £10m to put together (Lafferty, Naismith and Jelavic)? There was an article on the STV website (prob still there) which showed how much clubs have spent on transfers in the last few years. Guess who were the biggest NET spenders? That's right. Rangers.
This If Celtic **** it this season, after this Janauary transfer window, then **** knows where they go from their! Two more Old Firm games - I expect a minimum of 4 points for Celtic! League over!
When rangers get those 10 points deducted the league will be over and the fight for 3rd place will begin.
If there was no Rangers what would you lot talk about on the Celtic board? Not much talking about Celtic gets done thats for sure
