Yep, good post. Seems some want a cartoon villain to rant against. Funny how no one posted on the thread i put back up from ages ago, where Percy said c*** Pearson didnt wanna be here thats why he didnt want him.
I think the fact Ipswich fans are now turning against him says a lot. They're hardly tearing up trees in this division and neither is Bullard, we're best shot of him and results since have proved that. Past his best and clearly the Ipswich fans are seeing now what we all saw. Talented player or not, Bullard is a pain in the ****ing arse!
Out of interest TWF, if Bullard's appeal is unsuccessful (which i expect it will be) and there was nothing wrongful about his dismissal from the club, will you continue to defend Bullard over this situation?
Yes, because the seeds were sewn for this a year before. More importantly, if Bullard is successful, will people stop defending AP/NP over their treatment of him?
Thanks for the response (I wasn't trying to draw you into 'trolling', I was genuinely interested in your opinion). With the amount of legal advice the club took over the situation they must believe they have a solid case to have gone through with sacking Bullard and that any appeal by Bullard would be unsuccessful. I'll stand by the club over the player, they wouldn't have being hasty with this decision and acted with the best intentions of the club. The comments from Ipswich fans are hardly glowing of him which doesn't support Bullard's case of being hard done by here. We'll see how things turn out.
I post not as a wum but as a genuine contributor to a article which Leicester have exact experience of - I very much hope that it is accepted in the way it is posted (to show my good faith I'll ignore the Judas tag for Pearson) Years ago that insidious nasty piece of work Dennis Wise managed to secure a lucrative contract at Leicester - Shortly after following relegation from the Premier League and a significant drop in fortune, Dennis Wise was not only a poor performer but clearly unaffordable. Then we had the infamous pre-season tour during which there was a late night card school. Callum Davidson played a blinder and took a pot full off Dennis Wise then announced thank you for your time and your money, I'm tired and going to bed - Dennis Wise was furious and demanded that Davidson stayed at the table while he attempted to win his money back - Davidson laughed in his face and promptly retired to bed. A short while later Wise burst into Davidson's bedroom and landed a punch on the sleeping Davidson, breaking his jaw! The club rightly or wrongly saw this as a heaven sent opportunity to terminate Wise's contract and summarily sacked the expensive transgressor - After all if you or I had done that we'd have been sacked, wouldn't we. Some time later a pride injured Wise belatedly launched a civil suit against Leicester for wrongful dismissal - Now here's the crunch - Wise's case was dismissed as quickly as he was - Not because he didn't have a case because apparently he did he just left it too late - the experts say if he had brought the case in time he'd have won. I wonder how yer man will get on
Interesting Danger Fox, I think our little Pikey transgressed more then just the once, and then committed a `serious` breach while on tour with City. As yet I still do not know factfully what occurred, but given the misdemeanors alleged prior to this, the straw that broke the camels back must have been significantly worse. It also caused Joe Corrigan, a respected figure within the game, to decide enough is enough, and leave the game he loved, as eluded to by Pearson in an interview when he left. At some stage the full facts will come out, until then all we have is rumours.
The **** got nicked down Prinny Ave and was cautioned for possession of a grade A, that alone is enough to sack him, regardless of what happened on tour.
But was he dismissed immediately after and because of an alleged possession offence down Prinny Ave or following an incident on tour which followed his fall from grace - Not preceded it?
I'm afraid I'm not on the management staff at Hull City, so I'm not in a position to comment on the disciplinary procedures within in the club, but I'm pretty sure he'll have got a formal warning and it's not his first, so he's almost certainly ****ed. He did toot next to me in a club toilet, so I'll testify if required.
I have to be honest, I agree with twf on some of the Bullard stuff, I mean it wasn't his fault he was offered 45k a week literally on a plate. To be fair anybody would have done the same in jimmys situation, however where I disagree is when Bullard repeatedly broke club rules, and therefore he should be treated the same as anybody else would in their respective careers, and that is after warnings being dismissed, my personal thought is Jimmy should be pleased another club has taken a punt on him and get on with it.
I don't think anyone has a problem with JB on the contract, it's the management team at the time that we have an axe to grind with on that one. But like you say it's his conduct that is the main issue here, if the average joe behaved like Bullard supposedly has in their line of work then they'd be out the door and that be it. I also don't think he's as good a player as Percy makes him out to be, you only have to look at Ipswich's form and their fans opinion of him that he hardly looks like the best player in the league.
