On what grounds can you say he's a decent player? He couldn't break into our u21 team on a regular basis. If he plays for Stoke 20+ times next season then yeah we've ****ed up. No chance.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...ompletes-300-000-QPR-reserves-Stoke-City.html If this is accurate then £300,000 isn't a bad bit of business
On what grounds can you say he's not? Because Redknapp wouldnt give him a chance?..I'll let Flyer explain your mistake to you Glad you can see the future..lets put this one on hold for a season then shall we..? We'll see what happens eh? Having seen some of him, there is no reason why he cant be!
Redknapp hasn't given him chance? It's not Redknapp who has said hes not impressed, it will be have been Bircham and Gallen who have managed him for the last two seasons. If he was THAT impressive, he'd have been in and around the squad, or like Hitchcock, Ehmer and Harriman been sent out on loan to get first team experience.
I've seen him play and can confirm that he was definitely good enough to have at least been given a chance. Shame really
Oh ok, i forgot that there kniowledge and experience in the prem surpasses that of Hughes.... He may be a **** manager, but the players he bought in were decent players.(Proven by thier CL exploits) Just a fact he had no idea how to manage them. I suppose Milwalls No2 knows more though ?....That'll be Bircham BTW. Raheem Sterling ring any bells to you? I only know becaue i've seen a bit of him here, still, what do i know....The club is always right..right ?
Is that really the best you have? come on? Ive just seen a bit of him and he has the makings of a decnt player, thats all. I suppose keeping Keane & Maiga is the better option then? Please give us 1 single reason why you would not try him instead of Maiga..? (could be a long wait i think !)
Well Maiga is an established full international who has played 31 premier league games as well as scoring over 40 + goals in the top French league, so when we near the top and the games have a lot o pressure in them, I'm pretty sure I'd go with Maiga over Skapetis who hasn't been on the bench. As for Will Keane, well he's an inanimate object so anyone can do better than him. My point Queens is purely that there is a HUGE gulf in class between u18/u21 football and senior level. Take last night for example, Man City u21s were playing Chelsea's and the game was okay. There were some good players on show etc. Flipped it over to Benfica vs Juve, and the tempo, the strength, the speed - everything is on a whole another level. Sure give him a chance, but if the youth coaches don't think he is good enough to step up then we have to trust their judgement. The last player who stepped up and magnificently failed, Danny Murphy - the Irish u21 left back who sensationally messed up twice against Tranmere in 02/03 and was never seen playing again.
Very difficult to disagree with that, the difference in quality is substantial The only way to find out if it was a good or poor decision to let him go is to see how the young lad progresses. Chances are he won't get a look-in at Stoke either
watch the fans forum regarding signing and keeping youth players.. these decisions not made by manager or chairman..
