We were referred to as 'Roast Beef' when I went on a school exchange there a few years ago. Blooming tanned armpits!

The Germans that i am talking about are an older generation to the modern day ones. I worked with Germans for over 8 years and they did not find tv programmes such as "Allo Allo" Fawlty Towers funny at all. Yet they did like Monty Python which i found strange. Glad that they do from what you suggest above. :emoticon-0103-cool:

Same applies to the Japs. We have moved on thankfully now from the 2nd world war issues.

£1.5m or £2m or something in between will make no matter to anyone IF Nick P'witz helps fire City back to the PL.

You just know what the chants from the stands are going to be with poor Nick.

We have a Prossy, We have a Prossy you dont, you dont is just an obvious one. :emoticon-0116-evilg

So do my Chinese mates, they used to have it on all the time on half the screens in the Hong Kong Hard Rock Cafe.

He is very often on internal flights in China, and as you say the Chinese love him. The good thing is that with very little dialogue, his humour can be enjoyed by many different foreign language speakers

Yes indeed. Maybe someone can explain to Nick what that theme actually means to Hull City fans as well. Part of the clubs history. :1980_boogie_down: Allo Allo would be funny just dont mention the war. ;) Bruce did but i think he got away with it. <whistle>

'Allo 'Allo wasn't funny under any circumstances.

Whilst i respect your views on it - You would be in the minority on that one. The viewing figures did not lie. <ok>

Wasn't it Allo Allo that started that asphyxywanking thing? A program so bad it makes you hang yourself while ****ing, wearing ladies tights and choking on an orange.

You think viewing figures are a reflection of quality?

Neighbours achieved higher numbers than 'Allo 'Allo.

And Britain's most read newspaper is The Sun.

Fact is, most people are ****ing idiots.
