Football in Turkey! Football game in Turkey abandoned after fan assaults player with corner flag https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...ed-after-fan-assaults-player-with-corner-flag
Long-term injury absentees Allahyar Sayyadmanesh, Benjamin Tetteh, Adama Traore and Vaughn Covil have all travelled, along with youth players Jim Simms, Will Jarvis, Matty Jacob, and goalkeeper Harry Fisk. The most notable absentee from the party in Antalya is goalkeeper Nathan Baxter, while there was no Randell Williams or Salah-Eddine Oulad M'Hand, nor were there places for James Scott, Andy Cannon and Josh Emmanuel.
Liam Rosenior has confirmed that goalkeeper Nathan Baxter has returned to parent club Chelsea to undergo treatment on an ankle injury. The 24-year-old has not travelled with the rest of the Hull City squad for the week-long mid-season training trip to Türkiye. But the boss is hopeful that the shot-stopper, who has started the Tigers’ last 12 matches, will be back training fully in Cottingham next week. “Nathan has been playing with an injury but there is a bit of damage in the ligament part of his ankle,” Rosenior explained. “We want to make sure that’s 100% right and for him to get the best possible treatment and care. “It was in all our interests for him for to use the fantastic facilities Chelsea have, do his rehab there and be ready to come back and be part of our squad for Watford. “Hopefully by the start of next week, in the build-up to the Watford game, he’ll be back training fully.”
Agree. The u21s have a game today, will be interesting to see if any of them are involved in that instead
Why? Williams maybe, but don't see it with the other 3 who haven't really been round the 1st team. The club appears to have stuck by Emmanuel and also Scott; can't see how it's unfair on them.
300 of them. Even when the club do something brilliant, like this, people still try and take a pop over something.
The little ****e things, dust on chips, no thank you. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
There's a few hand-picked 'influencers' there with a social media following. Suits both parties as both are publicity hungry. It's a bit meh, but not unsurprising as it's a publicity stunt for Acun and the club.
