Not sure about Kuyt. As a striker/vdv role for CL then yes, as he seems to have a knack for goals, but otherwise I really don't rate him as a winger. Carrol for 10m, i'd say yes. He hasn't become bad over night, at newcastle they had very good service (look at Ba and Cisse) and he would get the same a WHL. He's never going to be a 35m pound player. But he would deffinatly help bridge a gap should Ade not stay. I know Harry likes experience, especially Prem experience, so if he is not going to go n find starlets then I feel this is the next best thing, and a safe option too. For the right money I see no reason why Reina wouldn't leave for instance. We spent long enough buying Liverpool has beens in the 90's, perhaps its time we took some of the good ones. Agger anyone? Also, whats all this about Bilic? whats he ever done, and why do people asume modric would stay because of him? I can't see modders turning down 150+ g a week because some guy, who is also his international manager is coming.
True about Bilic but i just feel someone like him could be a refreshing change..his teams dont play bad football and well there is no guarantee anyone will keep Modric..however if i had to say one man can convince him i would say it is his national team coach.
Dona - Pogrebynak is in talks right now about making his loan permanent. And I share your view re Bilic, Mod wanted his opinion on us before he signed, he looks up to him, and he is one of only a handful of managers who he'd stay for.
Damn your black hearts, Baveria Munich/Bayern Munchen! (Seriously, somebody needs to sort that out - it's one or the other, not a bastardised version of the two...)
And don't get me started on the Milan clubs - nobody in Italy calls the clubs from Stanley Park Liverpool FC and Ever Liverpool...
Milan are called that because they're an English club though, whereas Inter are never called that by anyone outside of England. The locational part of their name isn't even mentioned, as I understand it.
It's the fact people call them "AC Milan" - that's the same as saying Chelsea FC, Liverppool FC (etc etc), which you never hear. Nobody says Valencia CF, nobody says FC Barcelona, nobody says AS Auxerre, and nobody says Lazio SS.
I agree Croydon, but it helps to differentiate them from their rivals, despite the fact that nobody else calls them Inter Milan. Everyone that I know just calls them Milan or Inter when speaking, though.
