To be fair, though, I don't know the rules although I did once play Madden NFL on an earlier versioni of the playstationi (and even enjoyed it).

Just so I don't end up dismissing this sport my entire life the way I have done for cricket can you please explain some of the basic rules so I can get an understanding of the game and then make my mind up to like it (or not)
