I agree, women pundits dont do it for me either, but there are some good female commentators.
I also agree the colour of skin should be irrelevant, the only criteria is if you can do the job, are interesting, and know what you are talking about .
    I like meritocracy
Btw, Alex Scott has got Sue Barkers job, just sayin'

I can't stand that clare horsey balding is she still around?. That woman who does the football commentary is appalling her voice is not suited. Seems to me they are just the cheaper option. Hazel irvine was good at the open though. But women on the panels at rugby and football do not belong in the mens game and vice versa.

Not interested in representation, just want the best, irrespective of colour, sex, religion or sexual inclination. I find sacking a white man just to replace him with a Black man, just as disgusting as doing it the other way around. To give anyone job priority because of colour, not on ability is bull ****.

It's the same on the ads. Even the Oscars are making up new awards to keep the "ethnic minority happy":(

I remember a presenter asking Jamie Redknapp about the effect a certain players attitude (think it was Pogba/Mourinho) has on the dressing room. Jamie was mid sentence when Alex Scott interrupted him and tried to answer the question herself. What does she know about the chemistry in a Male dressing room. I wouldn't dare answer that on a girls dressing room because guess what? I wouldn't know because I have never been in an all girl changing room. Even if I had wandered in, the entire atmosphere would have changed.

That's my issue. I have no problem with commentators or even analysis but they have to be clever enough to shut up when they know nothing about it.

As for pundits. Glenn Hoddle is a joy to listen to. He has knowledge and experience in many many aspects of the game and can put those points across to a wide range of fans so they understand it. Hate to say it but Gary Neville is also very good as is Roy Keane. Ian Wright doesn't add much tactical knowledge to it but his enthusiasm is funny. Dion Dublin can be very good.

Other than that we are treated to the usual grey cliches and they all blend in to one monotone bland viewpoint. Micah Richard's is making a name for himself because he has an infectious laugh but if you listen to him it's just cliche after cliche. Jamie Redknapp is the same.

Pundits shouldn't be afraid of upsetting a few people. It should be encouraged.
