  3. I have two pair. My studs are the standard black with red and white trim Adidas predators, my blades are also Adidas (not preds but can't recall what they are) but white with blue trim.

I only ever buy black boots.

World cups and coppas (one stud one moulded). Wouldn't go for any of the new plastic ones.

Joma make some nice boots as well had pair of them couple years ago but would never really centre from WCs. Fit my feet nicely and really comfy and long lasting.

Playing a different sport, with similar equipment and clothing, long sleeves went out along time ago. As our arms are in use all game, flappy sleeves on forearms are really annoying, so for along time it was short sleeves with barearms, in the middle of winter. Lets just say undershirts are a God send.

And on the topic of boots/trainers, these are mine http://www.hockeydirect.com/Catalog...er-II-Hockey-Shoe-Phantom-296055#.VVxwB-HcCtM
(and no I didn't pay that price)

  6. What sport? I'm guessing rugby?

Edit: although with you providing a link to a Hockey site, I may go for Hockey as a second guess <whistle>

Casillas and Buffon both wear short sleeves. I'd have thought goalies would want as much of their body covered and protected as possible.

GK shirts used to have padded elbows (80's onwards), hence the need for long sleeves. Guess it's because the elbow is the first point of contact when a GK dives to make a save.
Do modern shirts still have the padding?

I guess pitches are so much better than padding is needed less now?

That'd never work for Hockey, not enough padding. Ours are closer to Ice Hockey.
The international players can get the ball up and over 100mph, now imagine a goalie trying to stop a ball the size of a cricket ball but harder travelling at that speed. You'd want all the padding you can get.

  18. Just been looking at buying some new boots. Got to go for preds since they stopped producing them this week, might be my last chance. I've seen some I like at a reasonable price but there is one slight issue... they're pink!
