Yes. Thought you might.
To be fair, I didn't see Queen, but what I did see was bizarre. Alicia Keys, who was very good, singing about New York was rather incongruous. Rod Stewart was embarrassing and Diana Ross just odd.

Weirdest one was Mica Paris, Nicola Roberts and the great Ruby Turner doing Climb Every Mountain. Three really good singers and it was a horrible disaster to my ears.Yeah, Rod struggled.
Ross shouldn't have closed the show.
Queen were outstanding.
I saw bits of the show last night and noticed Elbow, Adam Lambert and another bloke singer (dull forgettable) all fiddling with their earpieces.
I gave up when Andrew Lloyd Webber came on. The man with a face even his mother would want to punch, was the final nail for me.

Thought Sam Ryder was easily the pick and Andrea Bocelli who is just class. Far too many on there who's voices have gone in particular Rod, who somehow contrived to destroy Sweet Caroline ! Adam Lambert is excellent but someone who has an even better voice and had the same voice coach when younger is Brian Justin Crum, who's voice imo is even better suited to Queen songs.Thoroughly enjoyed the Jubilee concert last night.
Queen, as usual, stole the show.
Can't think of anyone who could have stood in for Freddie better than Adam Lambert, who has a sensational voice.
Some great performances and visual effects.
Shame Celeste managed to absolutely murder to death "What a Wonderful World". She was truly awful.
A great show though and a fitting tribute to the Queen, who has been a fantastic Monarch.
Our two greatest Monarchs have both been female and both called Elizabeth in my opinion.

Trust me pal he can hold a note incredibly, raspy but able to go from supreme power to gentle with easeNot aware of him. I'll look him up.
Yes I'm with you there, Charlie Boy last in the line of royalists, might start getting a bit of our land back then!Is it finished now? That’s it, the last Jubilee of my lifetime. Chas won’t get to 25 years, and I’ll be long gone before Will does. Mind you I suspect the monarchy will be long gone by then as well.
My round up-Love Elbow, thoroughly amused by Celeste not using a single note of a wonderful world, Diana Ross managed to sing the entirety of chain reaction in 30 seconds, Lee Mack taking the piss out of the royal family was funny and the Andrew Lloyd Webber bit sat on the piano with another bloke was truly scary. Opera guy pure quality, liked the guy who did a rap to sport over the decades. Guess they had to roll out a few oldies
A very cheeky opening gambit to find out what everyone is up to with an extra couple of days off this weekend. Whether it be a street party, barbeque, party in the park, let us know what you're up to. Understand that not everyone on here appreciates the Royal Family, but let's keep it light hearted.
I'm off to Barnsley tonight from Devon in order to take part in an organised 100mile Trans-Pennine walk. No camping/sleeping 100 miles straight off starting at 9:00am Friday morning, hoping to be finished in around 40 hours (time limit 48hrs) some time in the early hours of Sunday morning. It seemed like a good idea at the time, now I'm not so sure!!
As I say a cheeky opening gambit because I'm using the exercise to raise a bit of money for the AT Society. The children of two of my work colleagues have now been affected by Ataxia Telangiectasia a life limiting neurodegenerative disease so to make the effort a little more worthwhile I'd like to help them out. Read the account of one family on my 'Just Giving' page 'michael-harris49' or search 'trans-Pennine 100'. Anything donated will be much appreciated.
Mods, if this is not allowed, please remove.........
Anyway, what are the rest of you up to?
Well done Devon !!So, 41hrs and 49 mins after leaving, myself and three friends finished the 100 mile walk around South Yorkshire, incorporating Black Hill, Soldiers Lump Laddow Rocks and Stannage Edge just before 3.00am on Sunday morning. A couple hours longer than hoped, we had some tough times particularly in the overnight sections. No euphoria when we crossed the finishing line, far too knackered, but there was a better feeling later on Sunday after a few hours sleep.
Anyway, back in Devon now in full recovery mode, eating as much as possible and grabbing extra sleep when I can to make up!
Glad you all appeared to have a good weekend.......
