    Calm down man <laugh>

Cornwall, by far. The good thing down here is that you can be a pikey and you've still got access to the great outdoors like everybody else. If you're a pikey in London, you can't afford to go out to any of the clubs, shops, cafe's, bars, restaurants, theatre etc that London has to offer.

  5. <laugh> I get what he's saying. I love big city life but the sea or the mountains are fabulous escapes from it - wouldn't be for me for the long term but I can see the attraction.

The Manchester Gun Wars of the 90’s are well documented and were generally drug and gang related. They were quoting figures like they are with London - worse than Chicago etc bit it was isolated to certain areas, mostly deprived areas of the City. Don’t know why it died out - some fairly high profile court cases against some of the gang leaders maybe as a result of concerted police action.
The areas involved are now getting caught up in the gentrification of the city centre and surrounds.

I live in a capital city, there are no moped gangs, 14 ear olds are not dying every few days from stabbings. There are no sharia enforcers patrolling any streets. No terror attacks.

The thought of moving my kids to London, is not a happy one <laugh>

Yes these reports make it seem worse than it might actually be, but that depends on where you live in London doesn't it. If it's you kid that got stabbed, or run over by a vehicle of peace like those three boys (and the killers went free because the Met and Khan covered it up, video evidence and tire tracks prove it was intentional, yet they claim it was an "accident") then it's not just a bad image, its a stark reality.

I note too that all of the prominent people who say there is no problem, don't live anywhere near these areas, they live in rich uber white gated communities with no immigrants or gangs

It's pretty much identical to the Sweden situation, everyone saying there is no problem in Swedish cities and towns, don't live anywhere near them and would never live anywhere near them

NOTE: More often than not, it's not migrants that cause mayhem, it's their kids that are born in England that cause mayhem. For example and stats prove it true, Muslims who fled to the UK to get away from hardline ideology are seeing their own kids being drawn to that same ideology that the parents fled from, and it's spread through mosques, that's just the truth. Yes of course, not all, but the majority of Muslim youth in the UK today has watched as the UK military has bombed the countries of their parent's origin, how does this play out? Their religion and group identity mean far more to them than any UK citizenship, that is a fact. So when NATO which includes the UK, is bombing 8 countries right now, mostly brown muslim countries, how does this play out with young Muslim men in the UK mosques? the answer is ****ing obvious.

It's not simply the fact they are Muslims that is the issue. It's complicated. We see the same from Christian african migrants, minus the terrorism of course, life in much of africa is hard, and violent, and they bring this mentality with them.
Hard work ethic, and decency and objectivity are culturally instilled. It's not part of the cultures in ****holes we are allowing mass immigration from

I don't like London, have to visit family there in a couple of weeks. I can tolerate it as long as we stay out of the centre or don't have to take 3 tubes and a bus to get somewhere.

I loved London when I lived there. I also lived in Brooklyn for a year back in the late 90’s. I’m a big fan of city life and the buzz. I think they are great places to live when you’re young, don’t have kids, and can blow cash going out on the raz every night.

But now mate, I wouldn’t swap any of that for what I’ve got. Clean air, relaxed pace of life, friendly locals, lovely old pubs and the big outdoors. Perfect place to raise a young family and enjoy life without having to spend a fortune.

Depends where your Mail was processed; if you have a NE, N, E, WC, EC, SW or SE postcode, your mail was distributed via central London sorting offices. HA means your mail was sorted in Harrow, UB means Uxbridge etc; so Wembley, for example, is not technically in London.

Similarly, the London Borough of Barnet is not in London, because it has an EN (Enfield) postcode.

Meanwhile on the South Coast, things are much more straight forward; an SO postcode puts you very definitely in Southampton. PO means you **** fish.

Give me a shout when you get here. I’ll give you a tour of Haringey, starting with the nice bits, then abandon you in the middle of Broadwater Farm at night.

If I did that, you’d be fine btw. Once the little gangster types found out you were from Wales and not Wood Green, they’d put the knives away and ask you questions about sheep.

Bristol is a **** hole if you go to the wrong areas. Full of gangs and knives and ****, same as every other big city. Stick to the nicer areas and you are generally fine. Think it is about the 6th biggest city, population about 600k I think.

London I can take or leave. Had family there so used to visit different areas pretty regularly when seeing them. They are now either dead or I don't see them anymore so don't really go there much. Had a lot of my friends move there in their early 20s for various jobs, most of them are now looking to move away as they want to buy houses and it's not really an option. There is meant to be a new train line coming in between Bristol and London that makes the journey like an hour so apparently Londoners are looking to move here as an hour commute to Paddington is **** all for them.

If my commute is longer than 20 mins I look to change job, that is the main thing that has stopped me considering moving there.
