That looks pretty much like what my London XI would be Good shout on the subs too. Though again, Chelsea bias and all that, I would have Courtois ahead of Lloris
Haha, I don't think Spurs and Chelsea fans will ever agree on the Lloris vs Courtois debate, I work with a Chelsea fan so each week there's an argument as to who pulled off the better save(s) and who's better overall.
Lloris Ivanovic Kos Terry Azpilacueta(sp) Matic Sanchez Eriksen Hazard Costa Kane Edit - ooh, very close to SoS's team
Just call yourself "Spurm or Sex?" if you like mate It provided me with great ammunition this week, though the counter-argument was "you kept a clean sheet and Lloris didn't play, doesn't that say something?".
Logic doesn't always work. We kept a clean sheet without Lloris yes, but we also kept a clean sheet with Chiriches and 2 left backs playing
Really difficult to do teams like this without club bias. Some very tight calls such as the keepers and the striker. Spurs Matth obviously thinks it's not up for debate but obviously Costa has had an amazing season like Kane but Kane gets more plaudits as a result of being English, younger and has burst onto the scene. No Fabregas I'm struggling with though. Fabregas was close to the best player in the league for the first half and still is smashing assist stats. Trying not to be biased I'll go with... Lloris Ivan Terry Reid Azpil Matic Fabregas Sanchez Eriksen Hazard Kane No sure why only 1 Arsenal player is getting in though despite them being 2nd. Just seems only Sanchez really stands out. Carzola and Giroud have had very good seasons as well though.
Arsenal haven't even had a consistent team selection for big chunks of the season, but have played well as a team overall. Any player that you could point to for playing well for the season will have had calls to drop him from Arsenal fans at some point. Even Sanchez has had his recent form questioned, having started brilliantly and scored a lot of goals. Giroud was booed from the field in recent memory, with his performance against Monaco at the Emirates being particularly poor. I'd also suggest that their better individuals are in direct competition with players having outstanding seasons. Cazorla's been very good, but he's up against it, despite being fairly versatile. They seem to have real problems keeping anyone fit for the whole campaign, too.
Vertonghen's better than all them though. FFS Cahill was dropped for a teenage Zouma a few weeks ago.
No one in our back 4 would really a deserve starting place in a London XI, after QPR we have the worst goals against record out of the top flight London sides. Had we not had a world class keeper in Hugo in goal, our goal record would probably be twice as bad. So many goals against us come from defensive mistakes, really ****ing winds me up as individually they're all good players but as a collective unit they're generally woeful.
Can I change my team and have Kane in every position? He's like Buggs Bunny in that cartoon where he's playing every base in baseball.
Yeah, as we know Kane in goal doesn't work goodly. I wonder if a Kane back four would be less leaky than what we currently have?
Blimey, even when not on the obvious WUM this guy still writes drivel! --------------------------------Lloris--------------------------------- Ivanovic--------Terry------------Koscielny---------Azpi ---------------------Matic------------Cazorla------------------- Sanchez----------------Eriksen--------------------Hazard -------------------------------Costa--------------------------------- Subs: Courtois, Reid, Bellerin, Mason, Ozil, Giroud, Kane
Oh my ****ing days, so many things wrong with this team. Koscielny Cazorla over Fabregas Costa over Kane
I would attempt to explain myself but given you'd be the person reading it there probably isn't much point
