In Goves defense he was trying to answer all the questions but Morgan would not let him....When Morgan said "i could not give a dam what you say" and tried to belittle Gove who has just returned to the front bench this week then Morgan made himself look a prat....For someone who is suppose to be impartial then he broke all the rules. There was nothing wrong with the questions but to be rude and not let him reply is bad interview tactics, I dont like Gove but fair play to him he never stooped down to Morgans Level.....Pier's is a moron and should never interview any politician..

To give these poor people who have lost everything just £500 is insulting.....£5,000 should be paid to tie them over until they can be rehoused.....What the hell can they do with £500.....MP's claim More than £5k in expenses and those who attend the House of Lords get £350 a day. Come on May be reasonable.....They have lost all possessions and some have lost family members also...

What a fiasco, All tower blocks to be evacuated NOW......Where they are suppose to go nobody knows as they dont have the same rights as the poor sods from the burnt tower they were left with nothing.....It's one hell of a problem for the council on how they are going to accommodate 3,000 + people. 79 is the figure given who lost their life but we all know that can double with those that are illegals living there. What an expensive year it has been...Sad.

Everything, loss of life. the expense of accommodating everyone and a year of brexit bull **** that has cost a fortune and we still dont know what Brexit means or anyway more forward than we were before the ill thought out referendum... It will keep getting harder and much more expensive for us all until Theresa comes to her senses that the EU will not let the UK have a better deal than the EU. A lone wolf never survives and until she realizes that the better negotiations will go.....The EU have all the aces and can wait until they are satisfied or we self destruct as the expense gets intolerable and too costly to carry on...

Switzerland - with borders with EU members Germany, Italy, France & Austria - does very well ......

Purchase power stability achieved through traditionally low inflation, low long-term capital costs, a good investment climate, sound public finances and almost no labour strikes guarantee the prosperity and stability of the Swiss economy.

The strength of the Swiss economy is largely due to its international outreach and strong intertwining with the economies of other countries. Switzerland has one of the highest export rates as a percentage of gross domestic product. Highly specialised and flexible small and medium-sized companies characterise the technologically advanced industrial sector.

With a per capita gross national product ranking the second highest worldwide
, Switzerland is a prominent player in the world economy.

So countries can survive outside the EU "Club" - a Club that seeks to punish a member who wants to quit says more about the Club than the member<cheers>

"Where are they supposed to go..."

Surely mrs windsor will open her doors, and give instructions to her brood spread far and wide to do likewise, and take in as many of " the poor sods" as space will allow. There's an awful lot of space in the palaces.

Theres' quite a few properties owned by "socialists " which could provide refuge , whats Tony's portfolio up to now .<whistle> then theres JK Rowling, she must have a few dusty bedrooms just waiting to used and the list goes on .Selective socialism is possibly the worst kind of hypocrisy there is .

Switzerland though applies common sense across it's economy, and appreciates it's workforce, and they pay a living wage, all alien to the Tory agenda, just look at Grenfell Tower for capitalistic cost cutting in action, even if the Tories came up with some good policies, I could never vote for them, because of what they have always stood for historically.

To think we would ever emulate Switzerland is fantasy.

Phil - and the Council in control of the Camden Tower is........

and the Party in Government when Camden was refurbished was........

As I've said earlier, Labour & Conservative Councils & Governments are all culpable.

As for emulating the Swiss - I know that Country fairly well. I agree that we will (probably) never emulate their success but my comments were directed at Dai's statement that a lone wolf never survives ..... <cheers>
