Be funny when that little love in gets broken up around Xmas time when Pardew gets the boot, their owner is ruthless, they won't put up with the same **** that Pardew got away with at your club.

Palace will finish above us this season coming. And we have ourselves to blame. Completely agree with GLITF re: statements of intent. Doing nowt for weeks is in itself a statement of intent, and it's seriously weakened our position going into the next month of negotiations. Any player looking at Palace, West Ham, Stoke or Newcastle as a potential employer for next season is going to put us at the bottom of that list, purely based on recent signings. What a joke.

He also wont be absolutely mullered by having no back up, no support, having his best players sold whenever it suited the owner and so less pressure etc etc

but still, yeah it could all go tits up. Ill be keeping a good eye on palace anyway. I think he will do alright. and im willing to put an avi/signature bet on it..providing parameters are at least reasonable lol

He could do well of course, he did a great job when he arrived, then it went a bit pear shaped when Hull tipped them out in front of their own fans. Pardew won't get players pulled from under him but don't forget Palace are still a minor club in this league, I'm surprised Bolasie hasn't been poached already, any players pulling up rugs will be easily tempted away from them, he's not completely in the clear.

True mate, but I dont imagine it as being as anything as significant as the complete lack of support he received here. If they do actually sell a player after receiving a decent bid it will likely be given back to him in part to immediately reinvest, rather than just let him struggle on till we hopefully stay up and then look to pick up a load more bargains, hoping that they can gel together. An actual ordinary and workable strategy for any aspiring mid table/top half side.

Quite possibly but this would seem to suggest he won't suffer the same problem he did with us. They look to have some ambition, they look like they are going to back their manager in the market. The problem with assessing Pardew at Newcastle in the circumstances. I would like to see him at a club which supports him by more than just not sacking him.

He overachieved massively with that squad last year, I predicted they would struggle this year. I don't think only Cabaye will change that too. Don't get me wrong they have some decent players in there, some real solid types from these isles too. If however they continue like that (I don't think he has signed yet either), it will be interesting to see how they get on. Good managers will all tell you the same thing - you need good players. He didn't have it here very often, we had a wafer thin squad and pretty ow quality. I still think even with Cabaye, Palace are a lower table side who'll fight relegation with all likelihood. Much like ourselves at present. I they get a few more signings of that type, then maybe things will change, same for us really.

Wouldnt be surprised if they get Austin although I think they are a bit top heavy forward wise (must be nice for him to have options, he did seem a bit confused end of last season though lol)

even just cabaye and austin would put them light years ahead of where we currently stand though, which is frightening.

Why do some people even bother supporting us?

We have a whole new management/coaching set up just started and already it's "we're ****e" and "anyone but anyone will finish above is"

The dutch fella will be better than Cabaye easily! Reminds me of Seedorf <party>

Good looking folk seem to flock together. I reckon Pards blew Cabs off in return for a bit of public support though.

    He's so good that not
It's pathetic. Every interview I've heard from McClaren, Cathro and Simpson so far has been ligh years ahead of any interview ever given by Pardew and his mob.

We've reportedly made a 16m euro bid for Wijnaldum which is the biggest bid we've made since Ashley has owned us. It's clear that we're finally making progressive (football) decisions and people cry because we haven't bid for a near 30 year old who went on strike because he no longer wanted to play for us.

I know that for some people it will take time but to bitch and moan over every single player is pathetic and dull now!

Cabaye has gone to London for one reason and one reason only and that is to pound Debuchy's moist pink arse.

The fixation with Pardew continues and now we can throw Cabaye into the mix for good measure.
