I've got a dozen and they're all wetter than when the go in the wash! You should have a word with Jammis! You tell a mean tale!
French have complained about the wheels on our track bikes. Apparently they are manufactured in France
I was just going to say nobody has even started getting excited about the boxing yet and there's a very good chance we could clean up in that as well!!
That was an absolutely brilliant response for him, Dave Braillsford repeated it last night and cheekily said that when he informed the French that our secret was how perfectly round our wheels were they seemed satisfied with that and went off contemplating how they could make their wheels equally as round Don't know about anyone else, but hearing the French whinging about how brilliant we are and then suggesting we are being so successful due to some kind of illegality is the absolute icing on the cake for me, you couldn't make it up To quote somebody on a different thread about something entirely different.... .... diddums
Watching the woman's hockey at the moment. They can't seem to stop hitting the ball with their foot. Didn't anyone tell them it's not football? It also looks bloody dangerous with all the flying sticks!
Some of those Dutch girls are absolute stunners though - oh to be a fly on the wall in that shower room
Also, did you see that poor Kiwi girl getting smacked on the back of the head? That looked proper nasty, I thought she'd have been knocked out cold but no, they wiped the blood off, stuck a bandage on her and she was back on the pitch within minutes.
Wonky, I've done a bit of research into the tickets, it's probably too late now, but this is what I've found out; the tickets on sale from the ticket offices in the park are 'returns', ie from people or sponsers who can't use them, they go on sale from 8am in most offices, but obviously you have to be in the park to get at them. I also believe that they are the ones left over from the online sale which starts at midnight, so I presume that the majority are really expensive so no ones bought them online! Best I can do, good luck!! ILD OTBC
Trouble is if you went on size of population as the criteria for how many medals you should get, we would be languishing far behind New Zealand, Hungary, Kazakhstan to name three.
Jamaica are top with regards to medals to population. China are 37th, USA in the 30s and GB 8th. ILD, thanks! Tickets look too expensive though an I've got a meal to go to tonight anyway. Loving the athletics though! GB did well in 4 x 400m heat coming second. Other heat was interesting though. Bahamas beat the USA. Odd incident between South Africa and Kenya though. One of the Kenyan athletes appeared to trip up the South African athlete who couldn't finish the race but the Kenyans carried on. Can anyone. Lariat what happened? The South Afticans ended up being put into the final as a ninth team while the Kenyans were disqualified. Gutted I missed out on seeing Pistorius 'blade runner' run though as it happened just before his 400m. At least he got his chance in the 400m.
watched a bit of the marathon swim, pretty hardcore stuff that. loved the way they were feeding the athletes with the fishing rods. unlucky to kerry ann payne in getting fourth apart from that, it's gone a bit quiet for us team GB (which is not necessarily a bad thing) EDIT - typical, we've just got another gold in the horsey event
and there goes another one in the womens boxing... Just the 2 gold medals today - a quiet day for the Brits
first post there fleet canary, welcome a mini medal-rush today now! i'm in wokingham so geographically close to you if you're the fleet in hampshire
