Ironic that about Laim Cooper. I remember his debut for us at Liverpool alongside a big clumbersome lump who made such an impression with us that his name escapes me and Torres ran them ragged.
The irony is our back four was crying out for someone like Cooper on Tuesday night when we folded like a pack of cards in a hurricane against Wigan.

In the early seventies, when Leeds were riding high, I was a season pass holder in the South Stand seats. There was an obnoxious bloke on the row in front who constantly derided the team and couldn't explain why he came when we asked him. He would regularly say, "I've had enough. I'm going to Leeds next week." We were delighted to tell him that it was fine with us as they would be playing away.

He had no idea whether they were or weren't.
