Thank God there is a bit of sanity around with Labour holding Southampton City Council, and the Lib Dems maintaining control in Eastleigh. Interesting comment made by my not so favourite councillor "Royston Smith" about people voting UKIP and being unable to "articulate" as to why they are voting that way. God help the UK if the Tories decide to "follow" any UKIP policies on anything in the wake of their poor national performance.

I can see that Tom and then the topic switches to something else and the initial thread is lost!!! IMO we should have specialist threads for non-footbal related stuff, even though the conversaton will largely be about the game!!

It only stayed sane as UKIP wasn't running in a lot of Southampton areas if any.

I agree.

Personally living in a Lib Dem part of Portsmouth, i'm really looking forward to seeing UKIP councillors vote on planning, recycling and rubbish collection policies - obviously all local council problems that are close to their heart! Absolutely insane that they got 6 wards!

This is a football forum. We had an off topic thread created for these topics - we have been discussing politics all morning so everyone else is fine with the concept.

and I thought one of the "rules" was no politics anyway, so having a thread in it is barmy.
