If he stays injury free he is without doubt a fantastic talent. Lets hope he continues his improved form in Italy , he would be a great addition to our squad when fit and healthy.

From what I have seen of him he looks one hell of a talent.

this is where John square's 25M pound + Mo loan puzzles me.. if we wanted a squad player for 1 or 2 years could have gone for someone less than 10M..

Marco Van Ginkel starts for Stoke. First few mins , he was nondescript.
As the half progressed, MvG showed good promise going forward. Provided the best attempt on goal for Johnson to screw up.

MvG looks decent when played in advanced position. But when Adam is further forward, MVG looks suspect.

Vitesse had their first game at the weekend. Baker and Brown both played any by all accounts were absolute garbage. Solanke can't play due to age restrictions, Pantic came on as a sub but is too weak physically, apparently.

Kalas got a clean sheet at the weekend at least, Boro drew 0-0 with Preston.

Here is MvG's first appearance for Barca 'F' team aka Stokey City FC.

Ake has signed for Watford until the end of the season.

Vitesse won 3-0 last weekend and Lewis Baker got his first of the season. It was a penalty. He got MOM in the same game. Nathan came on and scored and has since scored twice more for the reserves as he's not yet fit. Brown hasn't really got going yet.

They've got Solanke now too but he's not fit to play either so he'll be on the bench at the weekend apparently. Be interesting to see how he gets on. I think it could be a little too soon for him.

.

I thought there was a limit of three loans from one team, or is that just in England?

I know it's one per team from two sides in the premiership. Think it might be three to lower divisions though, we had three at Boro last season.

I guess it's different for the Dutch league. We have 4 there now but a couple of seasons ago I think we had 5!

That's good really, loans should be made to gain first team experience <ok>

Bamford cannot keep out Murray (Championship Striker). What is the point of this loan?
Where as Gested (Championship striker) leads Villa.

MvG starts away at Norwich.

Solanke scored on his debut for Vitesse today. Was only on 15 minutes, they won 4-1. Baker scored a pen but missed one too and Nathan played about 70 mins. Brown came on at the end for five.

Looks like MvG had a blinder with 9 men against Brom.
Covered most of the ground single handedly.

Need someone like him to give kick up the backside to some of our Central midfielders.
Boy - I would take Mikel over Fabregas any time today.

You will probably sell him for a slight profit then buy him back again two years later at twice the price (see Matic) <ok>
