Andros Townsend has dribbled past more opponents than any other player in the league this season, apparently.
His 48 successful attempts was higher than anyone else, despite only making 11 appearances.
It appears that he and Rose won Young Player of the Year at QPR and Sunderland, but I've not seen anything official confirming that. Good signs if true, though.

Please keep up PNP, I mentioned a week ago about Townsend. See post 259 of this article. <ok>.

Hate most sunderland players but rose for Sunderland has been world class this season, for me he is a future England left back

Think Levy mentioned it in his letter on the OS.
Not excited by Rose but I think Townsend could be a handy squad player next season.

John Bostock's loan spell with Toronto has been terminated by them. Apparently he looked brilliant on the training ground but rarely showed the same skills during games. Difficult to see where he goes from here.

He didn't get on the pitch much under Nelsen, from what I could see. He might have to drop right down the divisions to get his career back on track.

Falque helped Almeria to a first leg 1-0 victory in their promotion play-off game tonight with this rather spectacular pass/hoof:

Might not embed, but you'll only see it after .40 on the clip, anyway.

How far down do the divisions go?

Was Falque trying to lob the keeper? Unconventional to say the least...

Falque's side finished the job off over the weekend. They won the 2nd leg 3-0 and earned promotion into La Liga for next season.

Bit surprised on Luongo, as IMHO he probably needs the league below
the PL this season to aid his progression. I guess the Academy see it
differently, and with MF places getting congested in the senior squad perhaps
they feel tis ok for Luongo to progress at a more leisurely rate.

My understanding is that Luongo was "scarred" by his experience at Ipswich. By that I mean his confidence took a knock and he never quite recovered until he got to Swindon. He approached Sherwood and asked that if a loan move was planned for him, then he would be ok to return to Swindon should they express interest in having him there again.

My own view on this is that it's a bit of a lack of ambition on his part, as I agree with you, he should be testing himself in the Championship again.

Time will tell if this is a wise move for him.

Pity if that is the case (WTF did McCarthy et al do to the boy) .
But difficult for Academy staff to apply the "kid gloves" treatment to a player who is out
at another club.

I assume if Swindon had got promoted the other month, he would not have declined
a repeat loan purely cos of the league they would be playing in.

Word that Coulthirst is going on loan to the Os. Is this one confirmed ??

A lot of the recent loan activities have been posted on the Spurs In The Summer Window thread at the top of this page, including Coulthirst. As of yesterday afternoon, it hadn't been finalised, but was expected to be confirmed today. Assuming it does go through and I am sure it will, I think it's a terrific move for the lad.

Interesting use of capitals for Shaq there.
