He’s playing pub football for a team that wouldn’t even get into the first round of the fa cup proper.
I don't think it is a lazy comparison, I would have said that a move to GY from Shelbourne was a logical step on the face of it. What has changed at GY is the style of play, their coach was losing games by playing a certain style and had to change as they were losing. Now GY is playing a similar style to Shelbourne, but Wood is still not getting a look in.
They don't play a similar style at all. On Wood's only start, the ball was in the air more than it was on the ground and that doesn't suit him. There wasn't too much between Wood and Moylan at Shelbourne, and he's doing well for a side in L1 but they play football.
Marking is a little suspect as is the keeping for his 2nd but his third was a lovely goal. Glad to see him doing well
He didnt suit our style of play.... well guess what, that should be our style of play.... he was 20 goals a season in this side..
Before yesterday, the last goal he scored was for us against Doncaster Rovers. In reality, in our current side, he'd have just looked an even more limited a player than he did when he left.
When the Artell came in, he started to play on the ground and out from the back, which would have suited Wood. But even then for whatever reason he didn't get much of a look in. They started to lose games heavily and then Artell changed to more long ball game, which I agree wouldn't suit Wood. The main point was that on the face of it the move, if Artell had continued with his original way of playing, was suited to Wood. Why he didn't get game time was either down to working him in slowly, but then the style changed, so he didn't then suit, or the manager felt he hadn't done enough in training. This of course we didn't know, but IMO the move one paper was a logical step, but like sometimes happens things don't work out how you would hope.
Thats not the brasil league Thats not started yet Its basically a pre season tournament This hat trick was against their equivalent of ferriby ha
what the **** was the guy at the end doing?! He had an open goal and managed to not shoot and then get tackled instead of sliding the ball into an empty net. Get him signed.
