    Must admit getting concerned with Parrott’s loan. On paper it seemed a good initial idea as they supposedly played decent football but they’re creating next to nothing for their strikers. 0 shots on target for Preston today and just 2 off target. Didn’t manage to watch him or Dane today but in the games I’ve seen, Troy gets through a hell of a lot of running but he’s chasing after scraps.

    Dane Scarlett was a 62nd minute sub in Portsmouth's 2-2 EFL Cup match with Crawley, scoring the second goal - but missing his penalty in the shootout, which Crawley won 6-5

    Highlights of their 2-1 loss to Lens:


    Definitely at fault for the 2nd goal. Nothing to do with the 1st.
    Picking a 19-year-old keeper ahead of veteran Steve Mandanda is questionable.
    Leaving Gaetan Laborde in the bench is madness. 15 goals, 8 assists in the league last season.
    20 goals in all competitions. I'd take him as backup, honestly.

    They won their last game 2-1 against Ajaccio, despite 2 red cards.
    One of these was from two yellows for Romain Salin, their reserve goalie.
    He never set foot on the pitch! <laugh>
