Cameron Carter Vickers was an unused sub in Bournemouth's 3-1 loss to Reading. Yes, that's what I was referring to when I asked who in their right mind would look at a 3-0 half time deficit and think Jack Wheelchair would offer the solution

Ryan Sessegnon wasn't in the squad for Hoffenheim's 4-1 loss to Bayern Munich, so this knock isn't a "knock", is it?
Juan Foyth wasn't in the squad for Villarreal's 1-1 draw with Real Sociedad, as he's injured. Again.
Oliver Skipp played 90 minutes in Norwich's 0-0 draw with Middlesbrough
Troy Parrott was an unused sub in Millwall's 1-1 draw with Cardiff
Jack Clarke played 71 minutes in Stoke's 1-1 draw with Huddersfield
Harvey White had the afternoon off as The Valley had a waterlogged pitch
TJ Eyoma played 90 minutes in Lincoln's 1-0 loss to Doncaster
Malachi ***an Walcott played 90 minutes in Dundee's 3-1 loss to Raith, picking up a booking
Shilow Tracey was a 76th minute sub in Cambridge's 3-1 win over Crawley, getting an assist and picking up a booking
Jubril Okedina played 90 minutes in Cambridge's 3-1 win over Crawley

I mean this as a compliment, before anyone says anything, but he's very Scott Parker, isn't he?
I'd have to see more of him to tell properly, but I think he may be a bit more progressive with the ball than Parker was.
His whole full-blooded style of playing is very reminiscent of him, though.

I was suggesting that a couple of seasons ago, as he even had Parker's 360 spin down pat

This is probably not a coincidence, given Scotty Parker was our U18s coach at that time

He looks to go forward and will try the difficult, with a high success rate...which puts him ahead of Sissoko and Winks...even without considering the fact that he tackles better than both of them put together.

Right now, he'd be a guaranteed starter, for me. Skipp and Hojbjerg would be a very good pairing.

You can tell he's too good for the Championship, albeit this was definitely the perfect loan for him with regards to game time and being in the right sort of team and around the right people. He'll have guys like Aarons and Cantwell who I presume he can get on well with and a decent manager who seems to trust a lot of his players.

The club needs to take inspiration from this and try being more meticulous with other future loans for our lads. Skipp obviously makes it easier as he himself is one of our best prospects but you have to wonder when looking at the game time of some of our other loans over recent seasons just how much thought goes into sanctioning them.

The real thing we need to be more selective with selecting loan clubs for players we're looking to move on

The reason we were able to move on Connor Ogilvie is because he got regular football at each of his loans at Stevenage and Gillingham, which generated enough interest for Gillingham to ultimately sign him, so that was a little less deadwood hanging around the club

The problem is so many loanees are dispatched with no thought put into whether or not they'll play, for example CCV's loan to Bournemouth this season, where they don't get minutes so there's less interest in a potential move, which is why some players - CCV, Sterling, Georgiou being the most obvious ones - hang around the club for a good 2-3 years longer than they should

Skipp's Norwich visit Swansea tonight in a top of the table clash, if anyone's really bored.
They're currently 1st and 3rd in the Championship with a gap of only 5 points. The Welsh side also have a game in hand.

Cameron Carter Vickers played 90 minutes in Bournemouth's 3-2 win against Birmingham
Troy Parrott played 70 minutes in Ipswich's 2-0 win against Blackpool

Ryan Sessegnon wasn't in the squad for Hoffenheim's 3-1 loss to Eintracht Frankfurt, so this knock is starting to give me flashbacks to Kazaiah Sterling's loan to Doncaster last season...
