Grant Hanley saying a lot of promising-sounding things about Skippy https://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwich-city/spurs-loanee-oliver-skipp-grant-hanley-6913868
We’ve had a patchy record of loans recently but it looks like Skippy is really working out. Really exciting for the future. Sess in Germany seems to be going well too. The less said about Parrott, Jack Roles and some of the others though the better. Troy had an early injury which might have disrupted him a bit I guess but it hasn’t gone as hoped so far.
Parrott's starting to get regular starts, so things will hopefully pick up for him soon in much the same way CCV's loan did a 180 in the last couple of weeks - although their fans agree they're playing the wrong football to make him most effective, as he's playing a lot like Harry Kane does for us yet there's nobody for him to bring into games getting forward The common belief about Roles' disastrous loan is that him picking a match for the Cyprus U21s ahead of one for Burton in November saw him dropped, and it certainly lines up as he was in matchday squads before then with a handful of appearances off the bench, but after that he wasn't in matchday squads at all
Jack Roles is back at Spurs ( see above post by HBIC ) At least Clarke and White both came off the bench at their new clubs
Juan Foyth played 90 minutes in Villarreal's 2-2 draw with Granada Oliver Skipp played 90 minutes in Norwich's 2-0 win over Bristol City Troy Parrott wasn an unused sub in Millwall's 1-0 win against Huddersfield
Had a browse of the most popular Norwich forum to see what they were saying about Skipp and I found this: https://forum.pinkun.com/index.php?/topic/140765-skipp-and-mclean/ Lots of positivity and it sounds like he's doing an excellent job. Slightly strange tone about Sorensen, though. One guy makes it sound like he's a prospect that will outdo Skipp when he's his age. He's two years older. This thread's even more glowing: https://forum.pinkun.com/index.php?/topic/140771-oliver-skipp-👏/
Yet if you look on Twitter, you see people accusing us of rigging MOTM polls People who tend to have Arsenal or Man Utd players as their avatars...
I like this bloke... "I would not give up hope on Skipp being available in a year or two, and coming back on loan if we get promoted next season ems likely. There is always pressure at the top 10 clubs to bring in a player at the peak of this potential. As a result Spurs fans love the club spending cash, and so Skipp will find it difficult to get an opportunity. Perhaps that will give us an opportunity." He hasn't seen us play for quite a while now...surprising as they played us a number of times last season and knocked us out of the cup...and we were properly ****, too.
Juan Foyth wasn't in the squad for Villarreal's 0-0 draw with Huesca Oliver Skipp was rested for Norwich's 1-0 FA Cup loss to Barnsley. Remember this sentence next time you hear about "The Magic of the Cup"™ Troy Parrott played 63 minutes in Millwall's 3-0 FA Cup loss to Bristol City Harvey White was a half time sub in Portsmouth's 4-0 loss to Hull. Moving swiftly on... TJ Eyoma played 90 minutes in Lincoln's 2-1 win over Northampton Shilow Tracey wasn't in the matchday squad for Shrewsbury's 2-1 loss to Sunderland Jubril Okedina was an unused sub in Cambridge's 0-0 draw with Bradford
Ryan Sessegnon wasn't in the squad for Hoffenheim's 3-0 win against Koln, which has got me concerned that the "knock" he picked up a couple of weeks ago is more serious than Hoffenheim first realised given he's missed four straight games
Juan Foyth wasn't in the squad for Villarreal's 1-0 Copa del Rey win over Girona as he's injured again Troy Parrott was an unused sub in Millwall's 0-0 draw with Watford Cameron Carter Vickers was an unused sub in Bournemouth's 2-1 FA Cup win over Crawley Town Harvey White was an unused sub in Portsmouth's 1-0 loss to Lincoln TJ Eyoma played 90 minutes in Lincoln's 1-0 win over Portsmouth Shilow Tracey had the evening off as The Salford City Fairytale™ apparently doesn't extend to undersoil heating Jubril Okedina see above
