Luke Amos played 90 minutes in QPSpurs' 1-0 loss to Reading Cameron Carter-Vickers wasn't in the squad for Stoke's 3-2 win over Sheffield Wednesday Jack Clarke was packing his bags for his inevitable return while Leeds were busy drawing 1-1 with Preston Anthony Georgiou wasn't in the squad for Ipswich's 0-0 draw with Gillingham Jack Roles played 73 minutes in Cambridge's 4-0 loss to Swindon, picking up a booking George Marsh played 90 minutes in Orient's 3-1 loss to the pit of misery that is Colchester
Marcelo Biela's said a little bit about Jack Clarke's missing half a season due to leeds' incompetence loan “I am very grateful with Clarke. He made his contribution in this part of the season, even if I didn’t use him. “In the last days, he improved his performance, but just when this process was going on Tottenham decided to ask Leeds for Clarke to come back. I thought it was unnecessary to keep him if I knew he wasn’t going to be with us. “I always try to make the players arrive as the best version of themselves. Sometimes, this process is not fast, it’s slow and we don’t achieve it faster. For instance, I saw Nketiah tonight at a good level, light and fresh to run in a tough match and comfortable. He unbalanced a lot of situations. He was fast. Comfortable in small-sized spaces and able to unbalance the match.”
I think that they've wasted Nketiah even more than they have Clarke, honestly. He'd have probably got more time with the filth and scored as many goals. Quite a silly loan, really.
Clarke, Carter-Vickers and Sterling all recalled https://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/2019/december/loan-watch/ To be incredibly blunt, why the **** didn't we recall Sterling back in October? Doncaster thought he had a dead leg back in September and exacerbated whatever his Mystery Leg Injury is, and since then he's returned to Spurs twice so we can run test to try and get to the bottom of it coupled with him needing a scan at Leeds General, and it was clear by that point he wouldn't be playing for them before Christmas

Luke Amos played 90 minutes in QPSpurs' 6-1 win over Cardiff, picking up a late booking Jack Roles played 90 minutes in Cambridge's 3-2 loss to Mansfield, picking up an injury time booking George Marsh played 90 minutes in Orient's 1-0 loss to Walsall
Couple of mates went to the QPR game today. They were glowing about Amos' performance. Hope springs eternal...
It's been pointed out that Luke Amos is averaging 4.2 tackles & interceptions per game for QPSpurs For comparison's sake, here's what our current CM options are managing Ndombele - 3.92 Winks - 3.33 Dier - 2.65 Sissoko - 1.86 And now I'm off to the British Museum to check those stats against the Rosetta Stone to see if they make sense
By all accounts, he's doing very well. He's been injury free since - touch Rose - mid October, and has been in the starting XI in pretty much every match since the beginning of November. Hopefully he can keep up this run. Already probably an upgrade on Dier and definitely an upgrade on Wanyama, will save us a few bob in our attempts to rescue CM. And, unlike most, will actually be proud to play for the badge.
He looked good in preseason and on his debut against Newcastle before his injury and I’m convinced he’d have got a lot of game time that season if he hadn’t suffered. I really hope he gets through the rest of the season doing well at QPR and then gets a chance to step up with us.
Well this is getting easier to compile... Luke Amos: QPSpurs vs Swansea (Sunday 2:01pm) Jack Roles: Cambridge vs Macclesfield (Saturday 3:00pm)
Luke Amos wasn't in the squad for QPSpurs' 5-1 win over Swansea, although this may be a condition of his loan. I guess we'll find out in the next round, eh?
