I was at Priestfield on Saturday and Connor was excellent possibly MOTM, talking to fans they seem to think that he is a better CB than LB, since Zakuani was injured he has played at CB every match and those I spoke to think that he has developed a good understanding with Ehmer the right sided CB and as a result 4 clean sheets in 8 matches as many as all season before that. I am going again tonight so will see if he can keep it up - I do wonder if he has found his level though.
The Sunderland manager has said some nice things about him, though: https://www.football.london/tottenh...zaiah-sterling-sunderland-loan-spurs-15961097 Time will tell if it works out for Sterling up there, but there's not that many games left.
Midweek update Cameron Carter-Vickers played 90 minutes in Swansea's 3-0 loss to West Brom, and reportedly had a terrible game summed up by his pinpoint assist for Jay Rodriguez to make it 3-0, although on the plus side his performance Bersant Celina's penalty is getting all the headlines... Connor Ogilvie played 90 minutes in Gillingham's 1-0 loss to Bristol Rovers Kazaiah Sterling was an injury time sub in Sunderland's 0-0 draw with Barnsley
I've often heard people overstating how bad a penalty is by saying that it's the worst ever. That genuinely is, though. ****ing hell.
Shayon Harrison starts for Sheik Mansour Team Aust version. Been raining in Sydney for 2 days straight conditions will be heavy. Lets see how he goes against a Sydney team that hasn't lost to City for a very long time.
After a tepid first half, City finally break the deadlock in the 60th min from Shayon Harrison following a nice through ball. His first in the A League.
Possible 2nd for Harrison as City double their lead, more likely going to be down as an OG for Sydney. Looks likely that the unbeaten run against Melb City is coming to an end. Sydney been pretty awful no shots on target as yet. Note : 2nd confirmed as OG , but nevertheless a very good 2nd half performance by Harrsion.
https://www.a-league.com.au/video/shayon-harrison-kick-starts-action-sydney Took it pretty well on his left foot. Keeper might have done better, though. https://www.a-league.com.au/video/a-deflection-gifts-city-their-second Definite own goal, but he's in the right place and he's created the situation that forced the error.
A hard shot in the box towards the goal with sufficient defenders around, always has the chance of a deflection (FAO Sissoko when you find yourself alone) .
Reports that Josh Onomah has dislocated his elbow and may need surgery. If it wasn't for bad luck..... https://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/foo...-for-sheffield-wednesday-midfielder-1-9655065
Cameron Carter-Vickers played 90 minutes of Swansea's 2-1 win against 3-2 loss to The Sheikh Mansour Team, and even though he was playing left back he gained a lot of plaudits for his performance - even though his main contribution was conceding a penalty for a clean challenge on Raheem Sterling that the sponsors stated had to be a foul to give them the manc Derby in the final they so desperately wants...which worked out well for them, didn't it? Josh Onomah wasn't in the squad for Wednesday's 4-2 win over Blackburn, having dislocated his elbow in training almost as soon as I posted the pic of him being back in training [/RCL] Kazaiah Sterling was an unused sub in Sunderland's 2-1 win over Walsall Connor Ogilvie played 90 minutes in Gillingham's 2-2 draw with Luton Anthony Georgiou played 70 minutes in Levante B's 1-0 win over Ejea, and they're still trying to say his name in Anthony on the teamsheet Shayon Harrison played 88 minutes of The Sheikh Mansour's Australian Team's 2-0 win over Sydney, scoring the opening goal GKN wasn't in the squad for Monaco's 1-0 win against Lille. We're stuck with him for another season, aren't we?
Marcus Edwards played 90 minutes in Excelsior's 2-0 loss to Zwolle, a result that drops them to within a point of the relegation playoffs - which is a bad spot to be given their run-in includes matches against Ajax and Alkmaar Samuel Shashoua was an unused sub in Baleares' 1-0 win against second-placed Villarreal B that extended Baleares' lead at the top of the table to four points
Shorter list this week... Samuel Shashoua: Baleares vs Villarreal B (Sunday, 11:00am) Connor Ogilvie: Gillingham vs Wimbledon (Saturday 3:00pm)
