It is very unlikely that the club did not enquire about several players......Why wouldn't they.....Your not making any sense....

You said "it is a shame we could not persuade any striker to come here". There's no evidence or suggestion from the Club that we even tried to sign a striker.

Your not making sence. Potts said we will try and get a loan player. The loan player has to agree our terms and if they dont they dont, You cant make a player want to come can you...

But if he goes for nothing, does that count as a free agent...who can be transferred at any time?
To be a free agent a player has to be out of contract before the end of the transfer window. So Whitts having his contract ripped up earlier today means he can sign for another club at any time. Anyone in a contract after the window closed can't move until the next window.

Putting a positive slant, Potter has a squad he can utilize. A squad full of experience and wiley old talent. Routledge, Dyer, Narsingh and Bony will broaden Potters options imo. Mckay (I believe), Routledge and Narsingh can all play centrally, AM I'm thinking. Dyer is still capable to rip it up on the both flanks with either him, Assoros or Montero as starters or brought on as impact players when defenses tire.Whatever, Potter now has options he didn't have before, if he utilizes the experience in the squad.

Back to the negative, I am concerned about Bony. Imo Fer's injury was worse than Bonys yet he is the one who is up and running. I do think he should be given time and some extra TLC to help him recover fully though.

Bony on the other hand seems no where near recovery. He's not taking part in training games or tactical training exercises, just fitness training. That's a worry for me, especially as we've been 'assured' (my arse) he's not far from recovery. Imo, he's a long way from recovery, if he was then surely he'd be in full training by now and almost certainly would have been transferred out this window. Even a close to fit Bony would have gone imo.

Hope Potter uses the experience he now has at his disposal and doesn't continue to sideline them.
To Play or not to play? that is not only the question but the key indicator as to the future of our club imo.

Potential Progress (utilize the assets) vs Potential Profit (liquidate the assets) that's the game we'll be watching this season.

But Dai - you regularly tell us that none of us know anything for certain at the club.....

On that basis, your comment is at best an assumption or a guess on your part .... unless, of course, you are Huw....

If you are, I will see you in The Butchers for the Steak Deal on Monday night <cheers>
