I said you can see how the statement about 70m was substantially true. Whether it did or didn't include the purchase price it's a credible figure based on actual evidence, not a dodgy website using guesstimates.
So if you buy something are you not investing in something? Weve since been informed that the quoted figure does not include the asking price. They spent a lot this season based on their league position in Jan. I suspect they'd have had to sell assets to strengthen and be in a similar situation to us if the promotion push had backfired. But it didn't.
So how many millions did the Allams put into the club? I don’t think the Glazers put millions in when the bought Man Utd. Have taken far more out. Anyway, let’s end it there. GLP is getting irate.
What are the Ipswich board taking out and how on earth is that relevant to what they've put in? Tell me what they're taking out as there's no evidence they've taken anything out. Clutching at straws again? They've put in 32 mil and change over the 2 seasons in L1, they were running a structural deficit of 20m at the time of promotion so they only needed to increase spending by 18m this season to hit the vaunted 70m figure over 3 years being discussed. That's not a huge amount extra at the top of the championship to achieve promotion, and its far from a ridiculous suggestion that's what they've done, especially since Jan.
We don't portay that image the media do, but after 14 wasted years under our useless previous owner who ran the Club into the ground the difference is startling.
And don't forget our owners sold 40% of the Club to another American Co for £100M + so considering they paid £40M to buy the Club they've done very well and so have we, but what's this angst and bitterness towards our little Club about ?
Some sad people on here. I for one like Ipswich, always have done. Well run club in a smaller place than Hull who achieved more success than we have.
