And there's more!!
Losing to Millwall is just like enduring Christmas from hell
South-east London derby games with Millwall are normally like waking up on Christmas Day only to find out all your presents have been stolen, Mum has burnt the turkey and someone has beaten up Santa.
The anticipation of a game with one of your biggest rivals is always something to revel in.
However, the crushing realisation we’ve once again failed to beat them - and for the last five games failed to even score against them - brings you back down to earth with a bump.
The fact that the highlight of games I’ve seen us play against that lot is probably a 4-4 draw against10 men says it all.
No matter what form we’ve gone into the game with, how bad they have been that season and how heavily the odds have seemingly been stacked in our favour, we never, ever perform against Millwall.
Which makes me apprehensive with this Saturday’s grudge match fast approaching.
This is arguably Charlton’s best squad since relegation from the Premier League in 2007.
Millwall have had a shaky start to the season.
The Lions have only won once away from home all season, and Charlton are unbeaten at home.
More so than ever, all the signs seem to be pointing to a Charlton win.
This defeat is really going to hurt!
