I do realise that, my point was not that it makes him a bad manager but there is a bigger risk of it going wrong with him than Blanc. AVB did great at Porto but then it was his home club that he loved, and they could reasonably expect to win the league with the squad they had. Blanc achieved a second and first place in the league with Bordeaux. it's impossible to say who's better, probably they are both stronger in different areas. However I firmly believe the Frenchman would be a safer bet looking at his CV. All said and done I'll back whoever gets it
fair play BLB and i think its safe to say that despite the camp being split...we will all back the new man
I would hope AVB would do well for us naturally but I wouldn't back him. I would back Blanc first (As Saha would) De Boer or Klopp or Bilic. Even Ancelotti if we could get him from PSG. I'm eagerly awaiting the Spain v France quarter final which I will watch with a magnifying glass to pick up on France's strengths and weaknesses. I like Blanc.
i talked about Blanc at the beginning of the week, nobody seemed keen then, but people seem to be warming to the idea now,i think his team would play the Tottenham way.
I think there always seems to be a warming to the latest chap linked heavily in the press, i have to admit i think i do that. I don't do it on purpose, maybe its a subconscious way of protecting oneself from disappointment when the actual appointment is made? Eg, at the beginning i was very pro-Moyes. But as AVB got linked i came round to thinking that could be ok. Blanc was linked, i barely knew anything about his managerial career, but i can see how that could work too. Who's next?
