Read Carr's article in The People (i think). Our buys are by no means miracles.

    No they're not.

But I hope that Cashley and Lambiarse don't think that it will always be so easy to replace a player. In this case we've been quite lucky with how quickly Cabaye , Tiote and Marveaux have settled in.

I've read it but I guess what I'm saying is that if we sell them are best players again we might end up with the opposite result one day and end up in trouble again.

Sell good, buy better, its not rocket science. It's easy to think your current players are great, but the likes of Barton and Nolan were looking good in a team that was relegated then finished midtable. Big egos, big characters, but no means difficult to replace, especially if you can get a French international and double winner for the same price as Nolans fee.

im not believing any of this rubbish , its just tabloid talk and they are taking advantage of the bad news we have already had about the stadium name change. Seriously the British media is pure **** , simple as . I just dont read it anymore as its always exagerated rubbish and a lot of the time its pure lies. Im just enjoying our start to the season and long may it continue , as long as Ashley backs Pardew then il be content , im sure Ashley wants to see his team in Europe next year. British Media Tabloids can just **** off .

Mike: Oi, Del. What's this I've been reading in the papers?
Del: I can explain Mike. I never said those things.
Mike: What? So it's true! You went to a f***ing restaurant without me!

Does anyone know where this apparently took place?
I must admit I'd be surprised that spoke to any fans since most want to smack the smug prick and secondly the language he's quoted as using and the things he's apparently said is just suicidal from a personal and club point of view.

Unfortunately its a little more complicated than that. We have been fairly lucky that all the deals have worked out. There is no one more thorough in transfer dealings than Man U and Chelsea, and they still manage to get their fair share wrong. If everyone thinks that every transfer moving forward is now going to work out swimmingly because we have Graham Carr doing his homework, then quite frankly they do not understand football at all.

He sounds a little unsavoury, however I agree with everything he said.

Absolutely, but given our average spend is 4-5m if we get one or two wrong (hell, Ben Arfas played what, 4 games?) its not a huge disaster. Moving forward I expect the squad to increase in size so that signings aren't just like for like replacements (even before ignoring Kuqi and Campbell we still got more in than out this year) to further mitigate that risk. Miracles is pushing it for me.
