The irony about LJ was that the best spell he had here was when we were riddled with injures so he had no choice but to stick with the same squad / formation which saw us play some good stuff.

The moment most of our players became available was when he constantly chopped and changed everything culminating in useless football which was horrible to watch.

There have been some streaks of good form towards the end of last season. It was no better to watch for the first season and a half of NP, and worse from a league finish standpoint. To think it wasn't isn't being serious. The signs of improvement are there, but some same old traits are also there, i.e. being powder puff up front, to use your phrase.

Oh dear Supcon, you keep on comparing relative league positions.
The league table is irrelevant. It doesn’t matter. We could be back in League 1 and it would still be an improvement in some peoples opinion.
There has been one change (in the dugout) which makes absolutely any result on the pitch an ‘improvement’

It's a wierd one but he has created the same divisions of opinion in the Sunderland and Hibernian clubs, there has got to be a fault line somewhere.

If LJ was a good manager why have all the clubs he managed fired him.

The last two very quickly, only Bristol City kept hold of him longer than they should have.

Now RR, that's not a valid argument; ALL managers get fired - including your own precious Nige <cool>
VERY few football managers go through their careers without either getting fired, 'leave by mutual consent' like GJ (a 'soft' sacking), or by being forced to resign. I can't think of ANY professional football managers who never got fired. There may be some but I can't name them.

Banter aside; he left Oldham to go to Barnsley, who he left to go to us.
He was sacked from us for failing to deliver us promotion within the 5 year plan.
Although I think the official reason for his sacking was harsh, I agree it was time for him to go. The way it was handled by the club - particularly the appointment of his successor - was quite frankly an embarrassment to be honest.
He joined Sunderland and was doing ok there - winning the EFL trophy, but was sacked after a big embarrassing defeat if I remember correctly. A bit harsh IMHO because they were still top 6, but that's life when you're in the dugout. His successor got them promoted with LJs team.
He then joined Hibs and did ok there for a while but was (understandably) sacked after a run of poor results.

Bill Shankly possibly, definitely Bob Paisley as he came from their bootroom and then retired, can’t think of anyone else, maybe Ferguson, although was he sacked in Scotland before being appointed by Manure

Has Junior got an ambition to try and work in every division of England and Scotland perhaps ?
Ferguson was sacked by St Mirren. The only blip in his managerial career. He claimed wrongful dismissal and lost the case. There were financial irregularities rumoured at the time, some including player payments.
