I would love Paulo back with this young team, he would piss this division. Mind there could be about 95% of you on here disagree
I am a little on the fence again - I was on the fence when he was appointed - I am sick of changing managers but I am sick of being **** and stuck in this division. I was buzzing early on but seem to have had the wind knocked right out of the sails as the saying goes. Perhaps we do need a change - not sure the club see this yet but I cannot believe it has not been discussed at a high level.
I am in the same boat mate. I said in the summer that the jury was still out on Johnson for me but I would give him until November to see how it was going. We are in November now and I'm still unsure.

If LJ is the manager and we are playing s hit he should be binned, it’s no good using foresight and saying he may come good when we know for definite we are s hite, let’s see what he can do over the next few games but please don’t wait to long.
For me the thing that stands out the most is the goals we are conceding. We are gifting these teams goals, they aren't scoring fantastic goals from 25 yards or from free flowing precision football, it's from individual mistakes and horrendous defending. Probably 90% of the goals we've conceding conceding would have been prevented with basic defending. That's why we haven't been scoring, because other teams have had the defence right. The goal against Sheffield Wednesday when their lad dropped his shoulder made 2 yards of space very easily played then cross in. Their forward was 2 yards off the goal line in-between 2 defenders, he had time to control it with his chest on to the floor then score, he shouldn't even have been able to get a head on it let alone bring it down with his chest.

It's about how good he is at getting a response. If the response is positive and we turn the corner then he's earned the right to another window. If the response continues to be negative, then we have to look elsewhere and bring a new guy in well before the January window opens.
I think that's it really. The stats seem to be suggesting that we're controlling possession, creating more chances, and creating better chances than the opposition but we're conceding comparatively soft goals. That's something that needs work on the training ground, in my opinion.

Anyway fingers crossed and hope for the best.
I never take any notice of stats, what if we had 90% possession but we never got out of our half and we concede in the last minute, it looks good on paper but if you are watching it, it’s s hite.
Good point, but xG or expected goals is the statistical analysis of the quality of the changes we've created. In the recent games, ours has been higher than our oppositions, according to footystats.org, which suggests that we're not scoring goals we should be and are conceding sloppy ones.
What has playing in front of 30,000 fans got to do with getting battered at Rotherham, battered at Sheffield and losing to a few at home to Mansfield though?
Aye, let's knee-jerk and change the manager before Christmas. That's worked well for us the last few seasons.
Daft question, but have we not avoided relegation nearly every time we’ve done that, big Sam, Poyet, Paulo, Dick Advocaat?
Great point The blokes just looking for excuses. We’ll regret not sacking him in this international break, IMO. Ipswich will do us next weekend.
The timing probably has more to do with the January window than Xmas imo., I think changing manager should be the last option, but individual case should be based on merit, not precedent.
I’m exactly the same, calmed down a bit from the weekend but it has to have been looked at by the people in charge. Been hammered twice by a couple of our supposed title rivals and narrowly beaten by Charlton and Mansfield, both of who have been pretty diabolical this season. It’s the Charlton result that really had the alarm bells ringing for me though. I’m ignoring Portsmouth as that was a bit of a freak result but even then Johnson should have changed the tactics to suit the pitch (as in long ball and stop trying to pass along the floor). Turns out I haven’t fully calmed down after all
LJ is a lucky fella given recent results and other managers being sacked. Especially with the manner of our defeats.
