think the game will be surprisingly open as WHam imo are fairly poor at the back & some of them give the impression that they are not prepared to just fight a rearguard action to try and get a goalless draw .

The Hammers will aim to win at Anfield this weekend and become the first team to do so under David Moyes' management

West Ham head to Anfield this weekend to face Liverpool, with David Moyes sure to be in for a frosty reception.

The Hammers boss spent 11 years at Everton, but in all his time managing he has never been able to record a victory at Anfield.

Liverpool are currently third in the Premier League, while the Irons are 12th and still in danger of dropping into the relegation zone, as they sit just four points clear of 18th-placed Southampton.

WEST HAM INJURIES
The Irons have a number of injury problems to deal with, with key defender Winston Reid still struggling with a throat infection.

He may be fit for the encounter with the Reds, however, while both Pedro Obiang and Andy Carroll are on the long-term injury list.
Kick-off time
17:00 (SAST) at Anfield.

EPL form (most recent result first)
Liverpool: WDWLW

West Ham: WLDDW

Premier League head-to-head record
Liverpool wins: 25

West Ham wins: 9

Draws: 9

I have no idea how West Ham can go about stopping Liverpool's front three, they are very, very good.

West Ham won't have written this game off but it is a free swing, if they lose this game it doesn't affect them in the grand scheme of things.

PAUL PREDICTS: 3-0 (7/1 with Sky Bet)

LAWRO HAS GONE FOR HOME WIN.

Liverpool v West Ham

Both teams had last weekend off and Liverpool used their break to head to Marbella for a few days.

The Reds are unbeaten in the league at Anfield this season and we know how they attack teams in their home games.

We also know that Liverpool's front players are in excellent form and I don't see the West Ham defence coping with them.

Lawro's prediction: 3-0

IMO theres a clear way west ham win this and its scoring goals.

Lanzini would be crucial and he was reportedly a minor doubt.

Its a question of negativity imo.

Is moyes going to be negative here?

unfortunately there is also a large element of will LFC turn up thinking this is piss easy and be half paced. The was LFC win is being intense form minute 1 and scoring early. We might only get one or two chances but if we take the first one these games open up and become easier for our style.
