Anyone who doesn't think it was a red has zero understanding of the Laws of the Game. Preposterous that even some neutrals tried to argue it wasn't on the basis that "there was no malice".
Oooh, ooh, an excuse to rewrite an old joke. I was walking through the park yesterday when I came across a Hull born Liverpool fan and his girlfriend having a blazing row. She screamed at him, "Right, we're finished", and stormed off. He then emptied his bottle of meths over the bench and started trying to light it. I yelled, "Oi, WTF are you doing?" He shouted, "She might walk out on me, but she's not getting the house".
I hope it wasn't Pearson Park, that's just had a refurb. I don't get wanton acts of vandalism, it's just senseless.
YNWA?!?!? You gotta be kidding , away end deserted by the end as their team get a drubbing..... Must be the promise of an earlier flight home that made em all leave early. They're the best, wittiest, most loyal fans in the world you know. You'll never walk alone* (unless they're losing heavily...)
Must have been ace standing on the Kop. Every single one of them is a comedian you know. That's why it's so hard for comedians to gig in Liverpool.
My the letter of the law is a 100% red card. But I don't think the law right. I'd be annoyed if my striker didn't go for the ball.
Its the way the law's administered that the problem, identical tackle in the Swansea v Newcastle game, Swansea's Mawson almost had his head removed with a high challenge, result yellow card for the Newcastle player. which was right and which was wrong.
On Saturday, there was a guy from Liverpool in the shop were I work. He mentioned that the Scallies were playing Man City. I said they've played and lost 5-0 and he wouldn't believe it. He also mentioned that he'd had his eye on the silver pocket watch and chain I was wearing with my waistcoat. Without thinking I replied, "Knowing where you're from, I'm surprised it's still in my pocket."
As a life long Liverpool fan and a scouser, I just cannot understand why people are so against us winning the league!? We do everything right as a club, play beautiful, flowing football. Charismatic, passionate manager. One of the best stadiums and atmospheres in the world ... and, we deserve it more than anyone for this season. Surely, if we win. Football wins? Teddy, Toxteth. Liverpool. (Texting into BBC Get Involved) I dunno Teddy, but I reckon that you answer your own question here mate.
Not sure I could stand the media fawning if they did ! Also **** all of the plastic twats in Hull Come in Man City
