I am so not interested in this story. How long ago did it take place ? Is it a big a thing as all that ? FFS get over it and get back to football. I told my better half,my tea wasn't up to it's usual standard the other night ! Surely that's far worse than calling a negro a negro ? Well at least it seemed that way,as she.....

But she still loves me,and i love her too. Maybe i can't love her so much now(if you know what i mean) but we still get on.I mean it's not as if i said i love my club, more than her is it ?

If she want's to ban me from going to work for the next eight days then il just take it on the chin.

He apologised after the hearing, that is weeks after the event. If as soon as the complaint had been made to the FA and it was clear offence had been caused Liverpool and Suarez had issued the apology for causing offence and given the explanation of cultural difference he would have got nowhere near 8 games. The fact Liverpool instead chose to refuse to accept anything wrong had happened and attacked Evra is totally unacceptable, and to then turn round after the hearing and issue an "apology" that still has the attitude of "we haven't done anything wrong" is farcical and completely defeats the point of apologising.

When was the formal complaint against Evra lodged?

Any pathetic argument that would otherwise not make it off the pitch can now become front page news for weeks because someone throws race into the equation.

When's the British culture racism fascination going to go away?

Well said, it was blown way out of proportion when it shouldn't have been.

    Soon find out.

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/16452241.stm

Liverpool are pretty ****ed on this if people are watching it more closely with a view to criticising them though. Either they'll support the fan and be told they're supporting racists again, or they'll be accused of hypocrisy if they don't support them. (differences in the motivation to be ignored by those looking to criticise them regardless)

EDIT: Reading the whole article I don't expect the referee to have known about it, isn't he the one we had at M'boro and the one who sent off Joey Barton the other day because a Norwich player put his hand over his mouth in an incident none of the officials saw? (and apparently the video evidence shows there was no headbutt after all)

Amusingly though Warnock last season on his referee assessment report after a game sarcastically gave the Norwich ref full marks and said that he hoped the report would help him get onto the PL list. Looks a right chimp now doesn't he.

Reading this article Liverpool could well find themselves in trouble again with racism. If you're not seen to be condemning racism amongst your own players what sort of impression is that setting to the more impressionable or idiotic fans?

Normally players just ignore these things if you think of some of the abuse they can get, but something must have been said which upset the lad in the way he did. Amid their stance on the Suarez case this really isn't doing Liverpool any favours at all and if they punish the fans involved as expected then it begs the question why can't you take the same stance over your own player?

You would say the intent was there with the fan but not the player, but the ability to do that is dependent on you having apologised and explained it when the player accidentally upset someone instead of banging the drum saying he'd done nothing wrong and insulting the other player again.

    Not anytime soon.

It masks the true intentions of those pulling the strings behind the scenes. Anti-racism = minority rule = divide and rule.

Really, if I was trying to divide and rule a population made up of several different races I'd be encouraging racism on all sides.

No, because racism normally comes from a majority towards minorities. This keeps the majority in a position of power.

The divide-and-rule strategy is all about breaking down majorities, so that everyone becomes a minority. So whites can be broken down into country of origin, region of origin, religious denomination, class, political views etc. In the long run it's more profitable, because each "minority" becomes a niche market.

Yes, if this was indeed a racist comment from the fan, this should be very interesting. Obviously the players will come on to the pitch wearing t-shirts in support of the fan...<doh>

Divide black, white, asian etc by race. Then divide white by religion, you can use N.Ireland/Glasgow as your template for that 2nd part.
