Well,we have been linked with Jeffren Suarez again today, he's quite speedy. And if you have ever watched them play, you will see both Downing and Henderson are really quite fast too. I think you are just being a bit silly here: just because someone is not renowned for being one of the fastest players in the game does not make them 'not pacy'. Not everyone has to be Aaron Lennon or Theo Walcott to be able to beat a player with pace. Also, pacy players tend not to be the best investments - they get injured quite easily and after one injury too many they tend to lose their pace - quite dramatically (see Fernando Torres, Obafemi Martins et al.)

Aaron Lennon and Theo Walcott are quick...However both have one fatal flaw.Neither can cross their legs.Their crossing is abysmal. They have less end product when they cut to the by-line than Aidan McGeady. He has no end product when he gets to the by-line.

the problem i have with how this has descended into chaos... the thread i mean..... is a) you allow bad language, but i've seen owrse, the WUM (cos you are) clealry hasn't much of a clue as he's clearly not seen suarez in action if he can say he doesn't offer a threat from 40 yards. I could add carroll to that seeing he can shoot form 30 yards!!!

its pretty clear to me he doesn't know what he's on about so why not just ignore him?

When I read that comment that ''Luis Suarez doesn't offer a threat from 40 yards''.It was obvious the OP is a clueless wum.Luis Suarez is a threat full-stop due to his skill, technique, exuberance and overall work-rate.He's not Thierry Henry quick..but he is quick.I reckon the OP also believes Wayne Rooney has ''fantastic technique'' if he watched Luis Suarez in action he would see that Rooney has no technique.

Schofield isn't being 'abused' because he has an opinion different to most LFC fans, but because he has raised this issue on numerous threads before. And because he's posted it so many times, he knows it's a contentious issue and has (unless he's an idiot) started this thread purely to create more of the same annoyance.

    No.

I posted this thread because, since discussing the lack of pace at LFC, which if you are honest and fair-minded you will agree is a statement of the bleeding obvious, two more Players have been signed, both with ability, but neither posing a problem to opposition Teams that differs from what is already there.

If you had signed Mata, for example, ahead of Downing, he would have added that threat, of course he is unproven in The Prem and so Downing is a perhaps a safer bet.

All these safe bets are, as per the OP, building more depth in the Squad.

But they are not necessarily going to improve the 1st Team, and the whole set-up is one-paced.

    RR.

Your French is about as good as your English.

It's not "Quelle", it's Qu'elle. If you're going to attempt to be clever, get it right.

It does depend, but the other version doesn't mean the same at all and in the context of how I used it, a common well used and well known little phrase, I was right. Which, given I live with a French teacher, I knew anyway.

I can but refer Mr quick off the mark back to his own advice, post #53.
