All you dippers Wanting Torres legs broken and put out for the season, Just shows why you are hated so much. No ' football ' fan would ever wish that on another player, so bitter why.

Torres was on £120k a week. Carroll is on 70k and i'm assuming Torres' bonus' would have been much higher then Carroll's too so there will be a big weekly saving there

Perhaps I didn't make myself clear. £15m saved from Torres to Carroll. That's how much the wage bill went down including Carroll's wages.

We sincerely apologise for any confusion caused.

The thing about FSG is they're not mad keen on ageing players who're past their best but commanding the high wages they'd previously been worth. They don't mind paying big as reward. That doesn't mean they don't recognise some players, like our Stevie and your Ryan and Paul, can still deliver into their 30s. But even I have to admit Torres hadn't delivered for what he was being paid over probably the majority of his time here, many of those paypackets being sent to his hospital bedside.

Is it FSG or NESV who are in charge? I've heard both.

Wummery aside, Suarez is a hell of a player. Technically he's fantastic. I don't think he'll have any troubles in settling in to life in the PL. He obviously has an eye for a goal looking at his record, but he seems to be able to play in that withdrawn deeper role too. He'll probably get a bucket load of goals just swarming around Carroll picking up any loose balls that he wins. Speaking of Carroll, how the hell did he pass the medical

NESV (FSG are a sales & marketting company owned by NESV)

EDIT - just read the rest of your post

The club can base a medical around an injury and work around it. We did the same when we signed Aquilani. Basically the doctor must be able to confirm that when the player recovers from the injury he will be able to play for the club
