How come we never get drawn against a big club?

Reserves out for this please. I'll happily lose 3-0 and beat them when it really matter, in the PL.

With Liverpool's commitments in Europe and their current false position in the Premier League, BR is playing weak teams (by Liverpool's standards) in this competition and will continue to do so, I would imagine. BR will not change his plans just because we're coming to town.

The Swans are taking it more seriously with maybe a 50% first team line-up.

Add in Liverpool's home advantage and it could be a very even game.

Why do you think Liverpool's league position is false. They are where they are because that's what they have earned.

Apologise in advance for the majority of our board for any wumming that goes on.

Think you'll beat us, I imagine your players will want to prove something to Rodgers, and we'll probably be playing our teenagers.

Saying that, our teenagers look better than our £20M signings ffs.

In the greater scheme of things Liverpool's position is currently a false one because they have played Man Utd, Man City and Arsenal in the first 5 games. I would say Southampton's position is also a little false for the same reason.

Surely you don't think Liverpool will be involved in a relegation battle come the end of the season?

Let's see where they end up. They may have played above themselves for those matches. They are supposed to be on a par with those teams - so the blarney goes. They got beat by West Brom.

We (typically) were our own worst enemies vs City, Sunderland and United. 7 points dropped from matches we should have won, largely through errors too. Very frustrating.

West Brom was a terrible day and Arsenal out-played us fair and square, really. Can't complain about those two.

We desperately need a lucky goal or two to get the players confidence back up - perhaps yesterday's win will give everyone a boost.

We don't need to make any excuses, we took 4 points off you last season remember! And I'm sure that whatever team we put out, they'll have enough incentive to say thank you to Brenda!...................<cheers>

Liverpool all the way for me, Brendan made 11 changes in the last game all youngsters and they were very impressive and no doubt he will field near enough the same team. they will be at home and they will want to do it for Brendan against us...3-0

Not sure what incentive the players will have. They liked Brendan!

I'm with Dai, he is showing signs of turning it around at Liverpool and their academy players have been hand picked to go there and look impressive.

Think it will be their youngsters versus our 2nds and if that is the case it might be 2 - 0 to them.

You better win... talking the way you do!

EDIT: If anyone remembers, I was ridiculed back in July/August for saying that getting one or two of our young players on loan would be great business for both sides... just goes to show!

I think some Swansea fans are falling into the same psyche as some Liverpool fans. Just because their youngsters beat West Brom it means they are now world beaters.

Its not because they beat WBA Its the way they beat WBA, It looked like the swans last season with slick passing and ball control. It was awesome to watch and the punters were very impressed like those who saw the match how Brendan has got them playing.....The future looks very bright for Brendan's Liverpool when he can get his youngsters playing like that in a very short time......<ok>

Our youth teams have been playing like that for a few seasons, it's no surprise they look comfortable doing it compared to the actual first team (!).

We had until recently two ex-Barca coaches (who created the recent golden generation) - Segura and Borrell. Segura has recently been removed/left.

Of course we can beat them, you never know what can happen in any match, but they will have home advantage and their youngsters played the best football than anything we have produced at home so far....If they play like that then they will more than likely play us off the park....
