Macca cock up aside, much much better from Saints. I agree that I would start most of these players against Boro. Obvs Charles needs to come back in, but not sure anyone else warrants a recall.

Regardless of mistake, we were excellent that half. Some people really putting themselves in contention to start on the weekend. I’d be perfectly happy to replicate this defence, but Jelert and Wood for sure. Quarshie hasn’t looked as clumsy, and Downes has brought the aggression.
I keep saying it. You have to have a physical CB. Both Wood and Quarshie are physical beasts (and win their headers!), and Edwards has looked good on the ball.
Tbh, I wish we never passed it back to Macca so much. There were other times we had options to get it forward and after 12 passes back to Macca who hoofs it and we lose possession Rather him hoof it than arse about in our area but Rather not pass it back to him when we don't need to.
Playing well, helps we’re underdogs and Still has had a career of setting teams up in that situation. Hopefully can keep it up and make a game of it second half
Supporting Saints is frustrating enough (most of the time) but that is beyond frustrating. What a ****ing knob! ironically this is the first game of the season where we can clearly see Still’s plan (and it was working) and McCarthy goes and chucks it in the toilet!!
I don't think he's done too much wrong this season to warrant it, to be honest. THB definitely needs coming out the team for a period, and the 3 tonight are all certainly making a good case to come in so far.
