First half woes continue from last season. It's like Klopp tells them "have fun first half, you don't need to play until the second."
What is wrong this season? It it a come down from last season? Perhaps the knowledge that how hard you do City will still win the league? An aging squad? A lack of real investment? Perhaps Perhaps perhaps
Very disappointing how this season has gone so far. It’s a quite a different side at the moment though some tweaks rather than overhaul in my opinion.
Passing just so sloppy all round. Missing thiago so badly to actual dictate the game and get some control in the middle.
Robbo then. A simple 10 yard pass in front of diaz so he can run into it… instead passes it behind him. So he has to stop, turn, get the ball and let Newcastle defenders get back. Just so sloppy in the simple stuff
What's happened. Your play is ponderous until you get near the box. By then, it's too late as we are in position. Crosses into the box will be dealt with. Keep it on the ground Burn and Lascelles are crap with their feet. You don't deserve to be losing but this wasn't the liverpool I expected
TAA trying the wonder ball when other easy passes were available. I hope Ramsey is good enough to challenge him as RB as he needs a kick up the backside. You can't live off the odd wonder goal if your general play is crap. I predict 2-0 to Newcastle tonight, and City will win 8-0
Been same all season. No thiago and our minefield is workmanlike rather than any actual control. Elliot offers bit more attacking but not in same way thiago does. Means you let fab and Hendo get the ball, let them pass it sidewards. Thiago is the only one that can break the lines and get midfielders turned. Without him we play infront of teams. been the same all the time. Unless it’s an open game and we can use the spaces, teams sit back against us and then hit us on the break. It’s the opposite way to beat us as you beat city. v city you have to go at them, sit back v them and de bruyne, silva, foden, gundogan will find a pass through you. We just don’t have those players so sitting back v us and we pass it around infront of you, then give it to TAA 35 yards out who chips a ball into the box for defence to head clear.
Get the ball on the break, Elliot comes inside gives it to Fabinho… slows dow Play, rolls it to Hendo who turns the wrong way back towards goal and plays it to Robbo to allow who defence to regain their shape.
