Nani hasnt been woeful. He was one of our best players v Gala and if he and Kagawa link up like they did v Gala you will be in for a busy afternoon on sunday. Valecnia has been utterly dogshit though, horrific.
Was it southampton then that he is utterly dogshit? He hasn't been that great when I have seen him. He blows hot and cold though regardless. If Valencia is on he could be a real problem.
Your three dangermen are Kagawa, Van Persie and Valencia, the supply has to be stopped on all three. Yes I agree, we could be in a very busy afternoon stopping all three. We've got to press the ball early and use the posession well, and not give away silly posession. It makes for an interesting game.
Nope he scholes and RVP won us the game. Scholes and Nani came on and Nani won the penalty and set up the winning goal. He also set up 5 clear chances on Wednesday, the most of any player. Had RVP, Hernandez or others been on the same wavelength he would of had a number of assists but they werent. Its valencia who has been dire so far. 1 assist and 1 shot to his name and hes played more than Young and Nani combined who have both provided much more.
Valencia is our least dangerous player going off the first few games of the season. Been positively ****. If young was fit Valencia would be benched with Nani on the right and Young left but as it is Nani will play on the left and Valencia on the right.
The odds on william hill are 9/5 for either a United or Liverpool win and 15/8 for a draw. The bookies don't even want to call this game, looking forward to it though.
You've got three terrific wingers, but out of the three, Valencia is the one that works his bollocks off. He's for me the most dangerous because of that. You've got the advantage over us, in that your forward players attack the 6 yard box more consistently than our forward three do. We've got to change that on Sunday, in that we attack the box when given the opportunity. Our forward players have to be on their best form. We also need Gerrard and Suarez to man up and put in a real performance.
The home side regardless of form are usually favourites. The bookies seem to think a draw is the favourable outcome. My predicton is a score draw at 2-2. I don't think either defence is all that great atm. Hopefully I'm wrong.
Remember that the odds are more a reflection of the weight of money in the market than the actually chances of winning. The more people back Liverpool or Utd, the shorter the odds will go - the bookies want a situation where they make money regardless of the result. That's why the draw rarely ends up favourite as fans don't tend to back the draw.
Thats a reasonable asessment. It explains why the bigger odds are on the draw as its more probable. 15/8 is a fair price. I wonder what the odds are on a 2-2. Its worth putting a fiver on.
This is true, which is why the bookies love a draw they have messed up a fair few of my bets. I think the odds are fair though i wouldn't want to bet either way
I wouldn't bother we always lose at Anfield and unfortunately I can't see it being different this time (I'm not going to bother with the easy cup final jibe incase it upsets RHC )
Draw No Bet mate, key to good betting. Allowed me to back Sunderland and Arsenal risk free the last couple of weekends
Drew with you lot last year with that ****er hernandez scoring. Should have had more if I remember right but I think De Gea had a good game and a mistake on Skrtel not following Hernandez ( go figure) on the set piece.
You don't realise though Bluff that a draw against your lot feels like a defeat The banter thread got some hammer last year on match day
It was Stevie G's return that day as well. Will be interesting to see who might have worked their way into the team for this game after last night.
