Yep - both are doing a good job.

But it feels inevitable that Henderson will be brought back into the first team so trying to understand who will make place - Milner should be the one dropped imo.

  2. Klopp won't change to a dedicated 4231 unless he feels he has the players. He obviously doesn't think that at the moment so we're playing 433. Until Klopp can bring his own players in (or we get a few injured players back), that won't change.

  3. Equally, you could say Can as been better because he's got a dedicated DM alongside him.

If I'm dropping anyone at the moment it's Milner.

The fact of the matter both are playing decent means (hopefully) we won't have to rush Hendo and Studge back.. risk getting them injured again.. (well, to be fair, no matter how long we give Studge, he'll get injured again!)

Aye, you can't have one without the other...
Can do all the "flash" stuff further up the field, but the shift Lucas puts in shouldn't go unnoticed!

Agreed Lucas has covered him on a few occasions when he's lost the ball or made a forward run when he should have held.

When everyone is fit we have some good options available. No need to make any rash changes though while what we have on the pitch is working it's down to the others to play their way into the team and that's how it should be.

Something I read over the weekend:

''3 things we learned from Saturday's game 1. Klopp is bigger than the hype. 2. Sterling hates his agent. 3. Liverpool are getting better.''

Hard to say because we haven't seen Can play in midfield until Klopp arrived ...

But that's Can's role - it's box to box. He has far more work to do

My honest opinion and trying to put aside my clear love for Lucas is that the combination and the formation suits both players but it's Lucas that covers the mistakes made by a young player who at times makes the wrong decisions.
Lucas being out of the next game is a worry but we should be all over Swansea and not give them the opportunity to get at us through the middle.

He does and being young and still learning he has been making the wrong choices at times, no complaints though you have to be brave to win games, without Lucas covering though it would be a problem. See my earlier post as it's also relevant.

  14. Yes we did, we just didn't see him there regularly.

  15. So you want Lucas dropped for Hendo but also say Can is B2B so needs the cover Lucas provides

And he performed well whenever he played there. Not sure he was playing alongside though? I remember when he started there against Chelsea and he was excellent.

Ideally - I want a top class DM alongside Can.

But until that happens, it's almost inevitable that Henderson will play in CM. And I see Can playing the DM role instead.

Can doesn't have the discipline to play DM, he wants to roam and get involved he's also not sharp enough over a couple of yards. Can and Lucas will not be moved Hendo will get in elsewhere.

Can.. DM, no way.. Same goes for Hendo too...
    Lucas to remain as DM..
Hendo in at the likely expense of Milner.
