I actually think set pieces and crosses look like out best bet today. Wellbeck, Giroud and Mert give us good height. Feel sorry for our front three today because they have had to work off scraps. Our midfield is creating nothing.
Goal aside, how we put in such a miserable performance is a disgrace, something is very wrong with the mentality of these players. Is it the manager, is it the players, who knows, but something is not right.
Poor first half but we're level so **** it I'll take that. Need improvement from everyone and if we play to standard we'll win.
Well sometimes as a player you need to inspire yourself then, it's a big game, it's Anfield, you got battered 5-1 last time, what more inspiration do you need?
Terrible performance so far. We've been dominated in the midfield battle, flamini isn't covering well at all and oxo is non-existent. It's meant they can pass through our lines far too easily. And it's stopped us creating anything. The problem is we don't have any other proper midfield players to bring in with our current injury problems. Liverpool have been **** in the final third, for all there possession they've not created many decent chances and there shooting bar coutinhos very good finish has been all over the place. We did well to grab the goal back before half time and hopefully that gives the players some belief and they up there game. Our passing has been particularly poor today as well.
Walcott will hopefully make an appearance later in the game. I'm thinking if we aren't winning, particularly if we are losing that it'll be pod and Walcott on as a double change. Both are capable of getting a goal when it doesn't seem likely. Other than that we don't really have anything on the bench that is going to change the game. We really have a silly amount of injuries at the moment.
If only we had a bloody striker we would have put you lot to the sword by now. But as it is we're a blunt spear and a team of midfielders.
Of course it is the manager.... A more accomplished side would have finished us off in the first half. Just wonder which Arsenal side will turn up for the 2nd half. It is almost like they do not want to play for the manager!
