is ramsey playing out wide or has cazorla been shifted? would have been better bringing on gervinho or walcott. ramsey is very average in the middle, but useless on the wing.
I don't think we're playing with a right winger, Cazorla is still in the middle, and Ramsey has gone in the middle too.
Mertesacker made a few mistakes but positionally he's been excellent. The guy does read the game very well.
great defending by vermaelen. and in response to kyle. when song was here, the other midfielders just expected him to defend for them and left him to it, without realising how attacking he could be. without him, the defending is apportioned fairly equally (less for cazorla) and as such we are better as a team at defending.
suarez has made lots of good runs, with and without the ball, but he needs to work on his finishing and clear up his diving to be a top class striker. we're lucky in that sense that we're playing him now. i think he'll improve throughout the season.
and mannone has been very solid today. hasn't really put a foot wrong. good to see szczesny finally has competition. will push each other to improve throughout the coming seasons. but it looks like fabianski has dropped further down and i wouldn't be surprised to see him leave in january
