I know we haven’t scored, but really enjoyed the half. Frustrating not managed to get a goal but played some nice stuff. Created some decent chances. Carry on like that and should get our rewards.
If nil nil after 80 mins, we can at least be thankful we have Origi on the bench to come off for 10 mins and provide a brace.

That is skin of their teeth stuff from villareal. 2 blazed by salah. 2 absolute sitters missed by mane Thiago post.diaz shots the only two on target both spilled randomly by keeper. I think personally folks talk a lot of crap about sides frustrating based on the scoreline. It's hanging on here by villareal nothing more.
Not a terrible tactic in the league against an opposition you expect to lose against, as it could gain you an unexpected point. Surely suicidal in a two legged cup tie... Unless they expect to open up on the second leg.
Why is it going to be tough? Iirc Villarreal played exactly like this against Bayern home and away. When you watch the highlights of the the Bayern home leg, the only people to blame for Bayern not going through are Bayern. I’m not worried about going to Villarreal away, they’re good but not that good.
