If we score first at Villarreal, it will revert to the Spanish mentality of kick them off the park because we’re losing

I couldn't listen to the commentators yesterday.

As long as it went on at 0-0 its was the villa real plan is working. just the 9 or 10 clean cut easy chances missed like.... Villarreal were backs to the wall for 30mins of that first half.

they were dominated for 45mins in the second half.

the stats are absolutely clear. masses of shots, far too many off target which is a thing that can happen us from time to time. its pure luck frankly that they didn't drop one of THREE to our feet for a tap in and mane mis controlling not one but 2 in the first 10mins that should be put away suggests that this was a dominant display.

Commentators have this prepped line like as if they are speaking to mancs or chavs or bitters and making them happy but not the actual fans watching of LFC who are by far the majority watching.

Its not even being neutral, its being antagonistic towards your customers. neutral is neutral. stop bigging up a villareal "job done" 0-0 after 15min ****ing mins. by all means start on 75mins or so.

They were the same with Everton - it's almost as though they don't want us to succeed... <whistle>
Tbh, I don't take much notice of apparent bias, it's just the stupidity than irritates me.

Yep we dealt with them a lot better than we dealt with everton. Eventually they tired and the goals would've come one way or another even if we didn't score when we did.

That was close to a perfect performance as you will see - only 'down' is that we didn't score more.

Everyone was really good but standouts for me was Thiago yet again. Fabinho was also immense.

Also, Konate already looks the biz.

Far from being the finished article but he already looks so dominant and confident. He is the long term VVD 'replacement'.

It's good to have that variety along with Matip, who is a better passer but doesn't score as frequently on set pieces and lacks Konate's pace.

Do wonder where that leaves Gomez. Should be england CB for WC but just not playing enough and doubt he’ll be first choice for us next season. At the moment this back up RB which can’t see him being happy with next year.

He’d be a great signing for a chelsea next year given their issues with defenders leaving, even Spurs or United would get into their first teams.

Be a shame as a really like Gomez but seems Matip and Konate are just ahead of him now. Maybe Matip will drop off next couple of years but can’t see him waiting that long and doubt Gomez will renew his contract at the moment to wait for then.

Given we're interested in Calvin Ramsey (RB at Aberdeen), I don't think Klopp sees Gomez as Trent's back up either.

The bigger news story would be "Liverpool Quadruple hopes over" rather than "Liverpool Win again".

I suspect the media will be behind us in FA cup and Champions League finals as long as we still have a chance at PL... But every other game they will be supporting our opposition because that will be a bigger news story.

no the London media will be all over chelsea.

they will make is a romantic story of club in trouble. heart and soul of the area, players last hurrah etc etc. Nothing about the cheating, doping oil oligarch fascist ownership and massive money issues

They will want chelsea to win that FA cup 100%.

the CL final will depend on who is in it. If its pep it will be all about peps quest for glory and completion of a "dream" and nothing about the qatar murder of migrant workers and massive financial doping and under table payments.

I have already heard a manc saying if its city v Liverpool they will be supporting city.

the media won't be neutral. none of it affects the outcome. it justs makes me less willing to pay for any of their services. My money is as good as a city and cheslea fans money and theres a lot more of me than there are of either of those clubs. I can't wait for the day we have LFC live games on LFC TV. one sub for the lot.

then i'll be able to complain about the poor biased coverage on there. <laugh>

Good win. Once again patience pays out. I was far more impressed with their fans than I was was with their team.
