    Can - Skrtel - Sakho
    Ibe - Hendo - Allen - Moreno
    Gerrard - Coutinho?
    Sturridge?

Question mark on Sturridge because I think this game is too soon for him to start.

Coutinho also has a knock. Could be Lallana or Markvic instead. Maybe switch it round slightly and go two up top with Borini or Lambert coming in. Might even see the Sturridge & Mario partnership so many want to see.

I for one wouldn't mind that. The last time the two played together we beat spurs 3-0...

If Sterling and Coutinho are out I would go with

    ----can---skrtel----Sakho
    Ibe-------Henderson-------Moreno
    ---------Allen-----Lallana-------------
    ---------Sturridge---Balotelli---------

But Rodgers will go with Gerrard no doubt

  3. I'm not a fan of Mario so can't say I'm keen on seeing it, wouldn't be as bothered if it was at the expense of Gerrard but now Sterling is definietly out, Gerrard will play no matter what IMO so I've already accepted it will happen.

If we want to win, then we should avoid playing Gerrard at all costs.

Would much rather play Marko or Balotelli in advanced positions.

The fact that Gerrard and Allen are likely to start makes me very nervous about this game. Wouldn't surprise me i Johnson played too. If Sterling Lucas and Couthino are out then I'd line up like this.

    3-4-1-2

    Migs
    Lovren
    Skrtel
    Sakho
    Ibe
    Can
    Henderson
    Moreno
    Lallana
    Sturridge
    Balotelli

Balot probably won't even make the bench again though, because apparently Johnson Allen and Gerrard, oh and Lambert, offer more. Borini would be on the bench for me in place of Lambert.

Yep. Just like that. Won't happen though, just read on the site Rodgers saying Can will stay in defence because he doesn't want to disrupt something that's working. I get it, but I feel like having Allen/Gerrard or both in midfield is more disrupting than anything else he could do. I expect it to actually be

    Migs
    Can - Skrtel - Sakho
    Ibe - Allen - Henderson - Moreno
    Lallana - Gerrard
    Sturridge

  13. That's why I was checking. I knew he'd said that and it's something I've said on here previously too. Don't move or change something that's working. This second line-up is similar to what I posted earlier. Only difference was I put Coutinho instead of Lallana but I did say the latter if the former isn't fit too <ok>

Thought Lallana was out and with Coutinho possibly being out I'd go for...........

    -----------------Mingo-------------------
    ---Skrtel------Sakho------Lovren---
    Ibe--------------Can-----------Moreno
    -----------Hendo--Gerrard-----------
    -----------Studge-Lambert----------

Could play Markovic in the Coutinho role though.

It's the best I could do with all those players out but at least it gives us Can in the DM role to get about Erikssen.

    point 1

Brendan Rodgers' plans to accommodate for the injury absence of Lucas Leiva are unlikely to involve a positional switch for the in-form Emre Can.

The Brazilian midfielder was withdrawn 16 minutes into Saturday's Merseyside derby at Goodison Park and will now face a spell on the sidelines.

Liverpool host Tottenham Hotspur in an important Barclays Premier League clash at Anfield this evening and Rodgers must therefore make a change.

The chosen replacement for Lucas will be carefully considered by the manager, who is keen not to disrupt a defence that has recorded four straight league clean sheets.

"Lucas has been very important for us but there will be an opportunity for someone else," said the Northern Irishman.

"Eventually, Can will be a player who plays further forwards and there might be games when I do think that.

"But you also have to remember the balance of the team as well, which is very good at the moment. It's four clean sheets in a row and defensively we have been very strong.

"With Emre you can see the importance of his role and the position he plays in there. He was immense at the weekend in a real physical game.

"Why disrupt that and try to fix something that could actually create another problem? The balance of the team is fine at the moment."

    thus back "4" will be

    Can Skertl Sahko
