Good first half overall, exciting game, but once more our midfield is just not there. If Spurs get the ball to their midfield, they create a chance easily. Most of our attacks have come through Ibe's pace or Spuds' mistakes.

Spurs have dominated possesion but we've been a threat whenever we have attacked. We need to address the midfield issue to ensure we win this game

So lets just take all the defenders off for both teams and see what happens. Not one of them is doing anything anyway!

Henderson and Gerrard in the middle. In fact, seeing Gerrard in the middle just annoys me - we're so easy to play through.

Having said that - positive performance but we really could have been out of sight.

    Very impressed with Ibe.

You should do well tonight then, Spurs are very open at the back and are pushing lots of men forward <ok>

Can can't stay in the defence much longer, sooner he shifts to mid the better. And Gerrard/Hendo midfield was as **** as I predicted. It creates a sieve. If only Lucas and Sterling were on

Rodgers has had a dig at it a few times. Not sure how hard it is to get it right to be honest, we have enough dosh and it's kind of important to get right. It looks atrocious.

The build up to their goal - Can forces the player central and the player overplays the ball slightly. Where is the midfielder to pick up that ball??

They are, but we still love to pass it back to Skrtel to wait for them to return to their positions and be able to defend. It's infuriating, do they not see that you're supposed to counter attack by passing forward or running forward, not the other way around?

Henderson is incapable of turning on the ball and running. And Gerard can spot a pass but cant execute as effectively anymore.

X years on and we still haven't replaced Mascherano and Alonso.

Seems strange really, a team that plays football like you makes the most of a good pitch.

What I'd give to have this exact team but with Masch and Alonso in place of Hendo and Gerrard. Sigh

From an attacking position there, we passed the ball back 7 times before losing possession.
