LAWRO HAS GONE FOR HOME WIN 2:1.
    Liverpool v Tottenham (19:45 BST)
It's been another great week for Liverpool.
I was commentating on their Champions League tie against Villarreal and the Reds were all over the place in the first half, but I said at half-time that I thought they would be fine because it had been a superhuman effort by the Spanish side. They were never going to be able to keep that up.
Now the Reds have two more cup finals to look forward this season, and I think they will see off Tottenham too, to maintain their challenge.

An evening kick-off under the Anfield lights will help boost the atmosphere, but the main reason I am backing Jurgen Klopp's side here is more down to the fact Spurs are so unconvincing on the road.

Antonio Conte's side got that brilliant win over Manchester City at Etihad Stadium in February, of course, but the frustrating thing for Conte is that they have not played like that often enough.

This is another big game so I think Spurs will be up for this one too, and cause the Liverpool defence some problems, but not as many as Mohamed Salah & Co will cause them at the other end.

    Lawro's prediction: 2-1

Bobbie's prediction: This is a massive game for so many teams. For the title race, Liverpool need to win this. For their top-four chances, Tottenham need to win this. I am torn between going for a 2-2 draw or a 2-1 Liverpool win but I am going with them to win it, because you just can't bet against them at the moment. They always seem to find a way to win. 2-1

Conte was always to be without Matt Doherty, Oliver Skipp and Japhet Tanganga due to season-ending injuries, and they will certainly be without Sergio Reguilon.

The defender’s groin issue has forced his kept him away from team training and Conte even conceded he is “not sure if he’ll be back” before the end of the season.

After a convincing 3-1 win last time out and a six-day break, Conte could very well make just one change to the XI that overcome Leicester, with Dejan Kulusevski taking Lucas Moura’s place.

Possible Spurs XI: Lloris; Romero, Dier, Davies; Emerson, Hojbjerg, Bentancur, Sessegnon; Kulusevski, Kane, Son
What a treat it has to be able to say Jurgen Klopp has all members of his senior side available to him!

Roberto Firmino returned to team training on Thursday after a “very painful” foot injury sustained in the FA Cup semi-final, that kept him out of the Reds’ last five games.

But with the Brazilian back in full training and up for selection, Liverpool’s embarrassment of riches continues to astound.

Spurs’ visit may come too soon for a place in the XI but he provides another invaluable option in the forward line alongside Mo Salah, Sadio Mane, Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota.

Such a weird kick off time for a Saturday for this one. Anyone know if there is a specific reason?

So.... spurs are terrible usually at anfield.

But... spurs have son and a clear route to score.

But... spurs defence last week was a joke

But... conte will low this and set up to defend andn counter.

But... spurs cant really afford a draw as it aids arsenal.

Perhaps because of earlier cancellations there are a few games to catch up on and they don't want to clash? Sky are showing the Man U game so maybe BT don't want to compete.

Wondered if was something going on in liverpool this afternoon which took up police presence or something

We played Tuesday so there was no real need for the fa to not punish us again.

I know the game was rescheduled after we got to the semis and we had to reschedule the villa game for Tuesday night due to the fa cup final etc.

I can only presume that the other times were taken and we refused 12:30 so after the 5:30pm game was then only slot that TV wanted for it.

Think about it this way. We get to train all week and play at the same times for villareal, spurs and for villa. So it's a little advantage for us but toady **** on away fans coming up which I couldnt give a flying fook about

BT have no 5:30 slot that is in the tranche bought by Sky though afaik no one has a 7:45 slot so can only assume you are right that we complained about having 12:30 again and this was the only time they could find .

Jurgen Klopp complaining of two many early kick offs especially after Europe. This is supposed to be 12:30 kick off on BT Sports.

Spurs need to win so I expect a cagey affair for 45 minutes with them playing on the break but if it’s still a draw at HT, it should open up.

Maybe so.but if they draw its then wide open for arsenal to kill the 4th place race isn't it.

A spurs draw and arsenal win means even if spurs in the Derby they are behind.

They have to come to try something to get the win

The model is there by villareal. Press two on our cbs and Ci the lanes for the cms to pass forward.

You don't have to take risk to achieve this. The bus parkers seem incapable of understanding this. Give our cbs the freedom of the park and you are going to get turned
