I seem to recall Spuds being made up with Sherwood only a few months ago and calling him a breath of fresh air, now they can't wait to get rid. Their record under him is worse than with AVB (who I still rate as a manager), they've won less, conceded more and scored less - all whilst playing awful football. Grass isn't always greener. They should have stuck with AVB.

Great performance by us today, looked solid and up for it from the whistle. Thought Skrtel had a brilliant game, Sterling looked strong and sharp and Flanno again played well - but it's unfair to pick individuals out, really good team performance overall.

Didn't even know Lennon was on the pitch until 22mins when the commentator said his name! They were dire.

Forget this game now and forget how many we've won so far, we've got one game next week to win. One at a time.

You could say that about alot of the Spuds team today.

Skertl is definitely going home a richer man today, £28mil pounds in his pocket <laugh>

Sherwood is way out of his depth, not manager quality, should go back to coaching as he's not going to cut it in charge.

We were brilliant today, whole team put in a shift and played excellently (even Johnson )

Credit to Liverpool. Two games, two coaches and almost identical results means there's a huge gulf in class between the two teams, whatever the particulars.

I can only hope the team watches the second goal over and over again.

Our tendency to backpass to the last defender or the GK has been sussed out. The good teams just hang around the last player back and wait for the gifts to arrive.

While I would hope this is not the case, It's almost as if Sherwood didn't play the high line at first not because he recognized it was the wrong tactic for this team against most opponents, but because he didn't know what it was. Once someone explained it to him, he acquired the fanatacism of a new convert.

While Rodgers clearly deserves a lot of credit, Tottenham and Liverpool this year make a nice illustration of the virtues of selling your best player vs. keeping him. While Bale's generally gotten decent reviews at Real, from what I can see he's added nothing, was in the process of losing his spot to Jese, and was generally ineffective in El Classico. He could be on his way to becoming the latest in the long list of present or recent Spurs players to have his career derailed by playing for Real, making everyone a loser in that deal. (Though to be fair, the jury's out. Modric has been good this year. But I'm not sure if Bale can ever play very well with Ronaldo, and Ronaldo's better.)

Spurs were simply outplayed... I was a little hopeful due to Southampton game last week but we never let them get any steam up, soldado was utterly isolated so Sherwood only has himself to blame

9-0 on aggregate = embarrassing

Top for a while is great

There is a rumour going around that Sherwood punched a player in the dressing room and may have been fired!

Heard it from their board.

Money on Soldado?? £28mil down the pan

Guy is ****ing useless. But I'd say Skertl and Flanno had already beaten him up on the pitch.

But clean and fair, just like our team. No bookings in the last 2 games.

“@Richard_Meehan: We can't sack Tim Sherwood. He's the only one who knows where Erik Lamela is buried.” Brilliant #punchgate

Didn't mean it though, did yer? :p
I keep saying it.

Really, that was probably the most routine win we've had all season. Spuds looked defeated when they walked out, they should be ashamed, tbh.

18. Actually did this time. Was confident because of the way they play. I actually said we'd beat Spurs about four or five games ago, well before your negativity accusations :p
